"This is a lovely place to stay and the host was gracious and went out of his way to help in every way possible. I arrived on my bicycle and was able to put it into the secure garden area onto which the entrance of the property opened. There is a nice seating area in the open fronted barn, which is perfect for a quiet drink. The room was terrific. Spacious, immaculate and with everything I needed. "Loved the Chateau! Great staff. Yes, its a little shabby around the edges (but can you imagine the costs to upkeep this building!). It has a lovely charm, the views from the terrace are absolutely stunning. Our room was huge, with a lovely balcony. We enjoyed sitting around the pool. There are tennis courts and also a spa (we didn't use, so can't comment on them). The restaurant is great and we had a wonderful supper the first night, but the only issue is that its a bit too expensive to eat...

"Great stay for visiting Chenonceau and near a great restaurant Aux Cheval Rouge. The family run experience is excellent. We were welcomed with pool towels and much need cold beer on a hot day. The rooms are very cute and quaint but have what you need. The breakfast is lovely and the grounds are beautiful. Great weekend getaway."

"We stayed 5 days exploring the Loire valley. Helpful professional staff. Beautiful gardens for reading or picnics. Heated pool a plus. Wonderful Boulangerie just around corner for morning baguette. Edith Artbroc Cafe next door a real find. Best meal we had!"

"Called a couple of days before to ask about the spa and gym and was told that everything is functioning. Sauna was NOT working and pool was quite dirty. Disappointed but then there's a beautiful lake right by the property "

"Great position just across the river from the city centre so had parking. Fabulous service including happily allowing us enjoy some drinks from the bar despite it being outside of official opening hours. Could do with a bit of work on the outside for increased kerbside appeal."
