"We had a great time and enjoyed the swimming pool. There were few residents and it was very quiet. One member of staff stood out as being excellent and speaking English, we believe his name is Marco or Mario. This hotel could be so much more popular if it were to focus on a specific market. The decor is 50's period but this could add to its charm. It has all the facilities you could want, but would be difficult for disabled people."

"Our stay at Casa da Insua was a dream! The property is just stunning, with the vast gardens, vineyards, a pool, and even sheep grazing! The interior of the castle is its very own museum, with plenty of rooms and halls to explore. Our room was the perfect combination of historic charm and modern hotel luxury. We would recommend doing the wine tasting in one of the historic kitchens with Diogo, who was excellent! Our stay was one to remember."
