"Amata is a beautiful, natural haven In bustling town. Surrounded by bamboo and nestled next to the river it is a real getaway. The grounds are gorgeous with orchids growing on the sides of the trees. The pool was a delight. The food in the restaurant was amazing and the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. The service was outstanding all around. Proximity to Borobodur is a real selling point with easy access to drivers to get you there. Wish we were staying another night!"

"This gem of a hotel is a hidden secret. Just 200m walk from the famous temple, the rooms are clean and cool, the pool is close to every room, the staff are excellent and very helpful, close to shops and eating places. Great breakfast too. Could not reccomend enough."

"Everything was great. The Mall was around a 10 minute walk from hotel. Breakfast was good. Wish there were more western dish accommodations, but that is typical for most Indonesian Hotels.
My only dislike, the room was not provided with a hand towel. Just a floor towel and two bath towels."

The bed was extremely low and maybe slightly broken (it sunk in the middle). The sheets seemed yellow but it could have been the lighting. The shower had mold and brown broken tiles. Half of the sockets didn't work and I couldn't charge my computer or phone. It definitely needs some upgrades as it feels like it's from the 70's. The view was amazing and...

I couldn't buy back beers to chill in my room. The hotel does not have any alcohol in their menu. The food in the hotel is not that great. If you are hungry after 10pm your only option is to order in. Use the GO-Jek app to get some pretty good food delivered to you. Basically, the hotel is a good place to come back...
