The hotel was nice and the staff were kind enough to move rooms for us when I said the air conditioner was making a very loud noise in the first room. The air conditioners are loud in every room it seems (but better in some) so if you have trouble with inconsistent noises, it may be bothersome. It is a little inconvenient that there is only valet parking available and that you have to go to a lot that isn’t part of the hotel to park; however, valet let us take out our bags before parking the car. The bartender at the hotel bar was very cool to talk to and made great drinks. The hotel was very conscientious located to a lot of restaurants and it was easy to walk to all the historical sites we wanted to visit. We would visit again.

Awesome beautiful hotel. Loved it very much. Loud noise at night from wedding groups. Not an issue for us but they had ear plugs in the rooms and we found out why. Thin walls. :) stay here unless you have

Disappointing experience

Really disappointing especially considering cost. The location was fantastic however: - the hotel said it was smoke free but there was a horrible smell of cigars that made us nauseated - unsure if this was previously a smoking room or someone was smoking in a nearby room - there was a giant roach that wandered our room at night, I was unable to catch it - generally our room felt dingy, stains on carpet etc - towels were crappy - the printed literature said there was room service until 11pm every night, when we called to order we were told it was closed at 10 on a Friday - the bar had limited options - even if you’re a Marriott member you don’t get free WiFi if you don’t book directly - there aren’t ice machines on each floor and only one water dispensing station per floor near elevators - the floor layouts are too big for this Pros: - location was fantastic - staff we interacted with were very kind - bed was very comfortable - valet parking car return was very fast - temp control in room was great

Celebrating our Republic’s 249th Birthday 7/4/2025

Epic! There is no better city to celebrate our country’s independence than Philadelphia. Thomas Jefferson penned the Declaration of Independence to King George lll on July 4th 1776 in Old City while the revolutionary war raged on…The Old City Marriott complimented all of the wonders of historical Philadelphia. Always been a Marriott stay gal as whenever fly to LGA for numerous visits “home”, I always stayed at the Marriott on Ditmars Blvd in East Elmhurst which is where I grew up. Lived, loved, played, was raised and reared on Ditmars in a home located between 29th and 31st Drive! From now on, I stay at Marriott’s whenever and to wherever I travel. Am in the process of setting up a week long stay on St. Croix USVI at y’alls Marriott on island. Thank you for an amazing stay at The Old City of Philadelphia Marriott which added to the thrill of visiting my son who resides in Northern Liberties(perfect as is super close to Old City) and celebrating the 4th together!
