Food was amazing from breakfast to even meal , The only issue was portion size as my dad made us empty our plates growing up & I couldn’t manage that here , Great food though. Lovely hotel ,bedroom immaculate, fabulous power shower , comfy bed and very quiet ,excellent nights sleep , breakfast fabulous, again. Wonderful hotel. We had a lovely big room with really nice bathroom which we've found is always the room which often is a bit tatty in other hotels. We had our labrador with us and staff spoilt her rotten. Great location for going off for the day. Breakfasts superb, cooked to order. Staff were really nice and helpful. Felt like leaving friends when we left.

Lovely overnight stay prior to leaving for the airport the next morning. Wonderful staff, lovely "small" but comfy room for 2. Dinner in the bar/restaurant was wonderful and Connor was great- with meal recommendations and helping us settle into our rom for the night. Loved this place and the people. We came in very late after a long flight and they were expecting us, eagerly greeted us and helped us upstairs with our luggage. Great room, USB chargers in the lamp bases. Great breakfast in the morning in the former homes sitting room. Super friendly, and even a history lesson of the property. Highly recommend!

My cocker spaniel escaped immediately on arrival and headed directly to the kitchen. He was retrieved by the owner without fuss or bother. A bowl of hospitality dog biscuits in the room made him very happy. The room was well presented and very clean. The only problem we had was with the shower head which we were unable to operate. We had no time to contact staff as we did not realise there was issue until we were preparing to leave in the morning. Puddle, the cocker spaniel, was welcome in the bar and also the dining room. The staff were as polite, friendly and informative as I have ever met. It was an entire pleasure from beginning to end. I cannot rate highly enough.
