The owners are very very nice people but I had to give a 3 star because of several reasons. The shower was either full hot or full cold, never could get it to work properly. Maid service did a good job when the room was cleaned but only changed the sheets once in our week stay, that’s not acceptable anywhere. Having a gated property is nice but it’s not nice when you have to open and close the gates yourself if you’re planning on driving around town.

This is a very convenient place to stay for dining and the beach! Our room at the end of the building closest to the beach has an unbelievable view that we loved! The downside of the view is that the music from town can be very intrusive. Just bring earplugs and enjoy! The description of the hotel says they have a bar and breakfast. There is no bar and the breakfast is offsite. It’s only a block or so away so not too much of a hardship but you won’t be having breakfast in bed. We had to change our reservation by a day and while I had difficulty with Hotels.com, this property worked with us which was GREATLY appreciated! Really lovely and convenient place to stay!

Great stay, would recommend.

The place was very clean, it had great A/C, hot water, a very powerful fridge and the staff was very friendly. The main complaint I had is that there are birds that attack the window starting around 5 am, which makes it hard to sleep as it's very disturbing and it would be great if they had an iron on premise. I would definitely stay at the Black Pearl Inn again.

What a gem!

Our 2 week stay at this Inn was fantastic. The room was big and very clean. Pool was a bonus! View from 3rd floor was fantastic and we enjoyed sitting out there, watching the sunset. Oscar at the front desk was always there to answer and help with our questions. Greta kept our room clean (spotless) as well as keeping the grounds clean. Jairo was there at night, working, keeping the outdoors tidy as well as watching over the inn. Breakfast is included in your stay. It is served at the restaurant (Iguana's) down the street. The staff at Iguana's is awesome. Victor, Lesley and Marbel were so friendly and welcoming. Food was great, with lots to choose from. We would absolutely return.

This hotel is basic, but with good standards. It is a short walk to the beach. Breakfasts on the beachfront are very enjoyable. Staff is helpful.
