Fine hotel, but hotel staff could work a bit more on customer friendliness. The most scary thing we experienced was that the cleaning lady entered our room without waiting for a response (she knocked on the door and immediately opened the door, without waiting). About the room: the bathtub shower was super slippery and dangerous + not spacious at all.

Self check in, so no info on breakfast times, or pool options. At the second morning the person at the breakfast desk informed us our breakfast was not included, even though we did book it for 2 days/nigths. He would check it and never got back to us. Staff at the breakfast is not very kind or service minded. The sink in the bathroom was fractured as the bathroom is quite dated. Location and park options are great.

I really appreciate the property and the staff, who have all been so kind and attentive. However, I did notice that the space doesn't quite have the fresh, clean feeling I was hoping for. I found Clayton to be an excellent choice for my stay. The Japanese quarter is a stones throw away and there are plenty of very nice restaurants around. The property itself was really impressive and I will be staying at Clayton for all future Düsseldorf trips

Our room’s AC didn’t work. The hotel moved us to a different, smaller room. The hotel was fine but not worth the price. I wouldn’t plan to stay again.

The pool was closed. Apparently it's closed a lot. They also make you check-in yourself on one of those impersonal screens, like a cheap and nasty burger joint. So you've go to go through the upsells, and add in all the info to make their life easier, and the greeting non-existent. So much for being "excited to welcome" you to the hotel as their cringe booking confirmation said. And no, you cannot opt out of this, it IS compulsory - so worse that a cheap burger joint - I was led over teacher-style to show me how to type my details into this. About time Expedia had a filter for this kind of cheap "welcome". The hotel was generally run down - drink stains on the corridor not cleaned, things falling apart in the bathroom. The pool looks nice, if you can find it open.

Little Tokyo Dusseldorf

Good location near to HBF and bus station. You are right in the heart of little Tokyo so there is plenty to do eat and drink. Main centre of town is a short walk. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The only issue I had was that the elevators were out of action for a day. Not a big deal but not the first time i have had this issue here! Definitely recommend

Good hotel with walking distance from railway station. Good breakfast with many dishes. Spa was with small swimming pool and sun beds. Gym was small and no weights. Rowing machine was half broken. Winnie at hotel reception was super and 10 points for her friendly service.
