Property was under construction at the time of my stay and many rooms were being renovated. I stayed in a "completed" room and it was comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful.

Fine for a quick stopover on our way through Virginia. Hotel was under construction, and no breakfast - had we known, we probably woukdve gone somewhere else. Our first rooms door didnt lock, so we switched to another one which seemed just as flimsy, but we used the deadbolt and door lock and that helped. Staff was friendly, room was clean, just sort of whatnyou expect from one of the budget hotels in Lexington

This hotel has been redone from top to bottom the room is basically brand new everything from carpeting to lights to TV they're still getting a couple of small things worked out the phone didn't work in my room and the TV was a little wonky on some channels but I came in late it will be interesting to see if they raise their prices but this is certainly the place to stay in that area yes they don't have breakfast right now but we'll have it shortly that's like the last thing on the list

We booked this hotel specifically because it included breakfast. We went down our first morning there to find that the are not offering breakfast due go construction. When we returned to our room on sunday we found our key cards were not working. They had locked our belongings in the room and closed the floor. My physically ill wife and kids were forced to move rooms to a more run down room. The whole experience was horrible. Hotel was not as advertised do not stay here.

It was fine. The construction was loud didn’t know until we got there that they were under construction. It says in room blow dryer ( so I didn’t bring mine) and in room microwave but the room didn’t have either. The fridge also didn’t get cold and had the setting turned all the way to cold. Other than that it was good. The beds were comfy the room was clean and the pool was great temperature

Check in staff were awesome. It wasn't until then I was told that no breakfast would be provided due to construction. I let the desk know in the morning that the bed felt like a mix of laying on a water bed or one mixed with oatmeal. For me, not the most comfortable bed. I do wish them the best of luck with the brand change over.

We were not told about no breakfast and construction being done. Chemical smells very strong. Front desk attendant was terrible, she was unwelcoming and could care less about our concern of not being told about any of these major things ahead of time. The room was booked month ago!!! Had local event we were attending and had late nights and early mornings.

The hotel was under construction so a lot of noise. The 1st room the door didn’t lock, so the tried another room that door didn’t work finally the 3rd room door worked. Breakfast was not a hot breakfast. It should have been cheaper due to the non updated bathroom tv didn’t work.

-The neutral parts: They're remodeling, and of course it's loud, messy, and they're limited on how they can provide a quality stay. That's understandable and I'm NOT holding that against them. That's the price of progress! -The negative: No announcement beforehand about the remodeling (hotels.com, that's on you). The customer service is not the best (not the worst I've experienced either). Given the circumstances of their remodeling, they should at least have the best manners possible to somewhat compensate for the remodeling. The smoking "area" is literally in front of the main entrance. Meaning we had to go around customers (and the remodeling contractors) that were smoking to go in the main lobby. My wife's hair and our clothes (we had them pressed on hangers) all smelled of cigarettes. One thing about us, we detest the smell of tobacco. Besides, it's unsightly. And to compound our outrage about the smoking situation, the owners arrived while this occurred and apparently said nothing. It's an old structure and the room are very dated. I don't mind older and vintage. This was: rust, calcium build-up, snowy TV signal, lamps that didn't work and others that flickered, non-operable bathroom exhaust fans, dust on common surfaces like headboard, fridge, nightstands, etc. Since I believe in ending on positive notes (when possible). Perfect location; close to VMI (why we were there), Wash & Lee College, restaurants & commercial establishments in town. Great price too!

Overall, a pretty positive experience. When we made the reservation, we didn't realize there was construction going on, so we were awakened one morning by loud noises on the floor above us. Breakfast was pretty lackluster. But during the night, the room was quiet. Rooms could use some updating.

Room was nice and clean, carpet was also clean. Breakfast has multiple options. Overall we had a good stay, nothing to complain about, i would reccomend staying here.

Would have been nice to know they were doing renovations and that breakfast would be a cold breakfast. Not sure I would have knew that unless I ask about it. TV reception was awful. Towels had seen there better days.
