You should tell that the property is very freeway noisy, then I would not have chosen it. I can’t sleep with that kind of noise. It kept me up most of the night, so I had to get out of that place and not stay an extra night that I had planned. Was up on the ninth floor, but that didn’t help. .

This place really is great. It’s right on the beach, there’s so many restaurants in walking distance, they have this amazing shuttle that will drop you off downtown and pick you up and my kids loved it. We live in the same county, but we always have staycations here because we love the place so much. Perfect for families.

In their effort to look new and modern, they made the bathroom “RV” size. The bed was absolutely delightful, very chic looking. The staff were exceptionally kind and professional. Shoutout to the valets, first time valet parking our new EV. They knew just what to do!

The property's a bit dated, but that fits with the low-key area. Ocean View from room was SPECTACULAR. However, the room was also right above where a live band performed until 10pm at night. And then again from noon to 4pm the next day. Given that we were there for a well-established local marathon and needed to get up at 3am, this was not ideal. Though we were offered ear plugs at check-in. There is no central AC and the in-room air conditioner barely cools, especially in the afternoon/evening as the room faces the setting sun. We would have cracked open the door, if not for the concert outside. In the morning, we discovered a used condom wrapper under the bed. We reported it to the front desk manager, who allegedly informed the housekeeping manager. A few hours later, we returned to the room to find housekeeping had been inside (made bed, towels replenished, etc) but the condom wrapper was STILL THERE. This was both disappointing and gross. Bottom line: The best thing about this property is the location -- the beach is right outside and downtown Ventura and a lot of restaurants just a short walk away. There is a train station nearby, but the whistles were not frequent nor loud enough to be intrusive, just noticed... unlike the band. Hotel is pet-friendly, which is another plus. And the staff is super-friendly, if not exactly responsive to issues. Live bands outside ocean view rooms they upcharge for is eyebrow raising. And can't imagine staying in the heat of summer.

The location is the best part of this hotel. Can’t complain much when every room has an ocean view and you can walk out the doors to paradise. The rooms are small with a funky layout. The bathroom door was a translucent slider that opened towards the beds. If one person used the bathroom, unfortunately, everyone in the room used the bathroom. Despite that, we would stay here again just for location and convenience alone.

The suite with a Beach view from the 2nd floor wasnt what i was expecting. The food was good the service was horrible at the restaurant as well as the room service. I dont know what happened in the restaurant but it felt like they just forgot to take anyones order (about 45 mins ) then it took another 30 mins to get our food . Room service wasnt any better ! The turkey sandwich looked like it had black mold on the bread . The bar in the lobby area was great ! Great service and a decent old fashioned . Oh yea keep an eye on your charges to your card ! Someone from the hotel tried to charge me 4500$ at 3am !! Luckily my bank declined the charge and sent me an email

This is our favorite place to stay when visiting Ventura. Very clean and the staff always goes above and beyond. From the valet to front desk to the bar and restaurant personnel are ALL amazing!!! Will definitely go back.

It is an old building and not attractive. One elevator was broken so it took a very long time for an elevator. There were very few carts for luggage. It was in a great location right on the boardwalk to beach. It was also just a few blocks from the shops and restaurants downtown.We had a beautiful view. The cost for valet parking was $75 per night.

I really enjoyed my stay here! Great staff very nice hotel. Stroll right slongthe ocean in front. Friendly people in and put. Fairly easy walk to the old downtown mission and the Amtrak train station. Funny I read people complaining about train noise at the hotel but that is only during the day I think it stops at 9:00 at night. Staying here makes you really feel like you're on vacation - not just a business or other kind of trip! I will return!
