I feel like we were duped.
This hotel had a Holiday Inn sign, but it’s not. Nothing about it is. I believe it was maybe one they sold off or liquidated and you can tell. The pictures are old. The pool is having “maintenance” and they use that area for storage. The lobby furniture is in need of a deep deep cleaning. It used to be ivory- the building is in bad shape.
It’s not a short walk to any rooms or elevators.
There are no amenities, they didn’t service our room at all the next day, so we had no towels.
Just had wall units- but it worked!!
One room had a fridge, the other didn’t.
I didn’t see bed bugs, so that’s good.
There is just a worn out feel. I think housekeeping does the best they can with what they have.
The courtyard was overgrown and dirty.
This was an economical option, due to traveling with a group, we were ok with location because we could utilize the public transportation- hotel shuttle to Ohare, Ohare CTA blue line to the city and anywhere from there.
BUT- the hotel was not flexible or shared shuttle schedule- they were not prepared for any amount of people and only brought the “little one” and told us we could wait an hour. So we had to get talk cabs into taking us back? There’s a rule they aren’t supposed to shuttles are running.
