We came to town to visit my 7 grand children. We have stayed at the Howard Johnsons at least 10 times, with the pool and the putt putt golf and the area for running around it was perfect. We have experience with issues at hotels so i called to verify the breakfast in morning and the pool. Oh yes Maam, we are good to go, i booked the room, got in about 930pm and couldnt go swimming so we went to sleep. The morning comes and we are dressed, head to the pool and yes after a long let down i built up for you, the pool was empty!!! No mention on hotels.com, no mention when i called before i booked and as i asked checked in when i asked. .no refund, no exchanging rooms at a differwnt hotel unless we pay. Hundreds of $$ to pay for the room for several nites, but then we were told no refund. Nobody would help us...4 girls under 8 yrs old and try to explain the bs we put up with because we are the little people. 3 hrs on the phone with Hotels.com and the only resolution was no refund, nothing. I had to pay for another night, and no refund. Neither company has made it right for the others who are also the little people just like us. Howard Johnsons and Hotels.com should care about people like me, since people like me want to do business with who we thought cared about us....
