Probably the best hotel breakfast I've had in my life, with super fresh fruit, delicious coffee, incredibly buttery and fresh croissants, huge variety. Also, being able to request early checkin was very convenient, and the front desk was able to call me a taxi on the way back. Location is central/easy walking distance from everything in Munich. Great stay.

Check in and check out were relatively easy. Given the proximity to the train station, I was worried we would hear lots of noise at night. We had an interior-facing room with a view of the courtyard and we kept our window open at night and didn't experience any excessive noise, so that was a huge plus. Breakfast had a nice variety and the staff were very attentive. Room was very small given what we paid, but it suited our needs.

The positives: The property is conveniently located next to the main train station and is within 10 minute walking to Karlsplatz and Marienplatz. The rooms are clean but basic. The breakfast is very good. The negatives: I don’t think that this is a 4 star hotel. It does not have a pool, a spa, a gym, or any of the typical amenities you expect in a 4 star hotel. The location of the hotel is in the red-light district. There are strip clubs within a block. I saw 2 separate police arrests and 1 fight, and many beggars on the street on which the hotel is. We did not enjoy this aspect of it. We did not feel safe walking on the street in the evening. You have to walk for 5 minutes out of the area before things change dramatically. The staff friendliness was hit and miss. Some were nice but most were very cold and not helpful. Parking is in a nearby facility and they have a deal with it. However, they don’t tell you about it even if you ask. You need to know to ask for the specific plastic card that gets you access. Conclusion: While the location is convenient, the negatives take away from the experience. I would not come back.

Several XXX shops and late night takeaways close on same street. Didn’t feel safe. Because of that, would not recommend unfortunately.

Positives: breakfast, room lay-out, overal cleanliness, friendly staff. Negatives: shower too small with some mildew as well, poor sound proofing from other rooms, an unwelcoming odour of vinegar in the staircases.
