My Wife and I had a great Stay and Everything was easy going from Booking to allowing our Pets to come and stay as well. Also Nena who is the Caretaker/House keeper was extremely helpful and very Friendly. We did not get a Chance to say Thank you due to us leaving so Early and will also be mailing a Thank you card with Appreciation tip for all her help. We love visiting Rocky Mountain National Park and Grand Lake. We will definitely be booking a stay next year when we come back to Visit. We are from The Western slope of Colorado so the Trip to Grand Lake was not long! Thank you again for a great place to stay and Friendly service.

Overall good for the price. Good location at Shadow Mountain Lake between Grand and Granby so easy to get to all 3 lakes. The parking is a little narrow and difficult to mauver if there are other vehicles in the lot. There are areas to park on the edges for larger vehicles though.

We arrived a little bit early and were allowed to check in early which we appreciated very much especially since it was raining outside. The view out the window of the lake is very nice. It’s close to town so it’s convenient for shopping and dining. When we came back, there was a very large black bear in the parking lot outside our door. Thankfully, our car scared it away unfortunately, I didn’t get a picture before it ran.

It was a perfect place for a weekend get away. Absolutely worth the price! Saw a mama and baby moose in the front yard area of our room. Nice family running the place. Beautiful view of the lake. Trails aplenty and nearby. Charming.

I needed a room the night before my reservation and the owner had one single room he rented me at the last mnute, I would have been stranded without his help. The next day he arranged for me to get in my reserved room at 12:30 instead of 4 PM as I had no where to spend the interfening hours and was suffereing from altitude illness and dehydration. He went above and beyond to help me.

Broken dishes and trash in the kitchenette area, broken window, dirty floors and dishes. Wasnt sure if sheets were ever changed. Outlets did not work.

Nice and easy location to visit Rocky Mountain National Park from the west. Accommodations were cramped, but all requred items were available. Reasonable cost for teh area nd tehseason.

Unit wasn’t ready to check in until 6 pm. There were no glassess, so no way to get a drink. No Kleenex. Half the light sockets had no light bulbs. Top of the dresser was sticky. My wallet stuck to it. Front door has a gap between it and the door frame big enough for a chipmunk to get through. Booked 2 nights checked out after the first night. We would like some sort of compensation for the second night.

This was a very convenient and reasonably priced place to spend the night on our whirlwind western tour. It is obviously an old roadside motel from the 1960's, however, it has been updated inside and was very clean. Being able to back the car right up to the door is something I appreciate on trips like this where I am "living out of the car." Microwave and fridge are provided, but no breakfast or other amenities. I would definitely stay here again.
