Stayed in the adults only "elegance" area for 7 nights. Melissa, our butler, was wonderful. Very communicative with all the goings on around the resort, telling us which restaurants were open/closed, offering to make reservations for us, even popping up to our room while we were at dinner for our nightly aromatherapy scent...a very nice extra touch. Room was clean, big, and well appointed. No issues at all. Staff make it stand out as a great place to go. Food was well above average compared to the 6+ other all inclusives we've stayed at in Mexico.

We chose this place due to the reviews online - it is a pricey place for what we experienced. The rooms, if you get a one bedroom suite, are awesome for families. The pool was freezing - even when it is hot outside, it was barely tolerable for our kids to get in the pool. The service was so-so - good service when someone came to you, but not always efficient. The gym is big, but it needs a lot more free weights and cleaned better. There was only one rack of free weights. The food is good, but not exceptional. I also feel like all-inclusive isn't really all-inclusive as they try to have you buy wine (at much higher prices than restaurants in the USA) in order to get reservations at the restaurants. The beach is amazing - best part of the trip.

La comida es lo mejor del hotel. Sin embargo, no me gustó la ubicación: está bastante alejado y no realizan limpieza del sargazo en la playa. Es un hotel que se presenta como cinco estrellas, pero opera con un presupuesto limitado; hay muy poco personal para el tamaño de las instalaciones, y aunque todos hacen su mejor esfuerzo, resulta insuficiente. El proceso de check-in fue lento y desorganizado. Además, no considero que sea un lugar adecuado para niños, ya que las piscinas son muy frías. En general, la experiencia se siente similar a estar en un crucero, pero en Cancún.

We stayed for 1 weeks over Christmas and New Year’s. Overall, it was excellent. Majestic resort chains never disappoint. But, I found Mexican resorts have better service. The staffs are extremely friendly and they do go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. They are all smiling and in great spirit. The place is spotless. When we arrived, the resort was much more quieter. We stayed at the Club 18+ plunged pool section. It has couple of Members Only lounges, an exclusive pool and lots of other things. The resort has 6 a la chart restaurants, 4 of them is based on 1st come 1st serve. French and Japanese need in advance reservations. We went to all restaurants and it was great. The buffet is excellent. I cannot find any flaws or problems. Everyone was friendly and professional. Nobody expects you to tip, you get the exact same service with or without tipping. Our butler Enrique was fantastic and always kept in touch. He made sure we are having a great time and taken care of. Our made Angelica made sure our rooms (we had 2 side by side rooms) are well done and she did do a fantastic job. She even came twice a day. Both fridges were filled daily and we had coffee makers and kettle in both rooms. The rooms are spacious and adequate for 2 adults. The plunge pool was amazing! We would hang out there after lunch. 24/7 room service was awesome. Jose and Raul at the steakhouse were super friendly, funny and professional. We had a great dinner there.

I loved the facility. Our room was nice and large, with a good view of the pool area. I personally liked the layout of the adult side pool area. The main adult pool is small, but there are lots of areas for couples to relax. Large groups might enjoy the main pool areas more, as they seem livelier. We had to adjust our expectations with the staff a bit. The very first time I asked a waiter for water, he told me to get it myself from the club lounge. That set the tone for the week. I ended up getting most of my water, beer, and soda from the club lounges, including a minibar restock. We aren't big drinkers, so it wasn't a huge deal. It didn't stop us from having a good time. I can list 5-10 times when we had to alter course due to staff. Including two dinner plans on separate nights. Speaking of dinner, I don't understand all the glowing reviews about the food. We found it on par with similar resorts at this level. It wasn't bad, just nothing great. Lunch is a struggle unless you love hot dogs, hamburgers, or buffet pizza. Although they had other options, there was often limited or no staff at certain buffet stations. I would go back, but it wouldn't be my first choice for resorts of this caliber. If you already booked, Erik in the main lobby bar at night makes some of the best drinks I've ever had.

-Pools was small and awkward. Form over function. -Staff was amazing overall but our butler was non-existent and did not deliver at all on what we asked -Food was mixed. We had 10 total - buffet (overall) was great. Restaurants were mixed - some loved certain restaurants and other did not like it at all (varied by restaurant and our family's feelings on each restaurant was mixed). But consistently the food took far too long to arrive and 1/2 food arrived cold. Some of it was inedible and some it was excellent - depending who in the family you ask -Drinks were my biggest complaint. Most of the drinks were terrible as it made by someone who does not know how to make drinks. But my primary issue with the drinks was they they used 2L bottles which largely remained open such that the carbonation was gone within a minute of opening and therefore most of the drinks were flat

Some of the staff are very rude, we had a big group with kids and anywhere we went they were saying it's adult only We could use just all you can eat with kids The room service is not good Totally it's not a 5-star resort It's not worth it

Staff was great. a suggestion would be that all staff follows same rules and enforce them ie. - If only one towel per person then all staff should od that - Dress code not enforced at all times My only complaint is that at lunch one day i was given a glass for water and I told the waiter that the glass was dirty. He then swapped it out with a glass on another table and left it for the next guest. If I had the authority at that moment I would have fired him on the spot. We enjoyed our stay as one of the best.

There were a bunch of small things that went wrong during our stay. From inconsistent service with the room service/house keeping to not being able to make a reservation to the Kabuki hibachi experience restaurant. From the moment we arrived we were told that place is booked until we left. We had to check with the hostess daily to see if we can get seated.
