The hotel wasn’t at all what I expected. The lobby and breakfast area looked nice. The breakfast wasn’t at all what I expected. The bedroom comforter was soiled .The pillowcases were dingy. I was totally shocked at the condition of the beds. I had to ask to have my room changed because the windows had cobwebs on the out side visible when pulling the curtains back . I really was so disappointed.I didn’t ask for a refund at the hotel because I knew they would say to contact Hotels.com . Again I’m really disappointed that my expecting were not meet.

Broken elevator but okay to stay at

Outdated everything, but was good enough for our stay. Room was more updated than everything outside of it, but still not that amazing. Elevator broken and they made no effort to fix it in the 3 days we stayed, just slapped a sign on it and said ask the front desk for help.

Place needs a renovation. Toss everything

We requested a refund and left to find a decent hotel. This place had exterior maintenance issues before going inside, but was willing to look past the exposed ACs and hanging parts, uneven paths, etc. Front desk, Friendly, nice. Parked in under hotel parking. Elevator never came. Went back to surface entry, saw sign on elevator ’out of service’. Down poorly lit, dark and smelly corridor to room. At scratched and dented door, used card to enter. First mildew smell blew me away, then I saw the filthy mattress covers that one day were white, now stained gray and yellow. The mattresses were so old, all four corners curled upward creating a bowl for guest to crawl into. The carpet was a special kind of gross. I refused to touch anything in the filthy stinky room. We turned around to leave it as we found it, ran into the front desk clerk who asked if everything was okay with the room., I asked for a refund, explained we had some concerns with the hotel and that we would like to head closer to our destination to find lodging. Refund granted. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn on Regal instead. $50 less and 1000% better hotel.

Unpleasant

We came into town for a family trip and had a suite booked. In the master room, the A/C unit did not put out much cool air, was very loud, and sounded like it was about to completely break down. The bathtub in the room was completely clogged, causing us to not be able to bath our kids or shower for long because the tub would fill to the top. We tried unclogging it ourselves with no luck. The maintenance man came up to try to fix it and said he was unable to. Therefore, we were not able to shower like we needed/wanted to. It took all night for the water in the shower to drain. The bathroom had orange/red spots all over the walls and bathroom wasn't cleaned very well. On our first night after checking in, the fire alarm went off causing everyone to evacuate. We had to leave with our children quickly and unable to be in our room for awhile. Turns out the elevator caught on fire per the front desk. The elevator was broken the rest of our stay, so we had to climb up and down 4 floors of stairs with two young children and all of our luggage. For spending close to $500 for two nights, we were really unhappy and uncomfortable during our stay and will not stay again when traveling back to Williamsburg.

Affordable and friendly, but worn out

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, and the location is great for Busch Gardens. That said, the building and grounds are in need of a financial investment to update everything. The parking lot is in really rough shape, and the building is worn as well.

Sleep at your own peril

This stay was one of those you read about in a horror movie. The place was dingy and dirty. The carpets in the hallway was torn and the tiles near the elevator was cracked. The heater in my room didn't work and they could not send someone to fix it that night. The two phones in the rooms did not work either, let alone have buttons on one of them. The crevices in the bathroom were grimy and the room was dark. They did offer to switch rooms but there is no reason to switch from one hellhole into another. We just checked-out and ate the fee for that night.

The hotel was not at all what was advertised in photos. There was trash in the middle of the hallways. A propped up mattress outside in the garage. Bad smell. Covered parking area had construction equipment lying around and was very untidy. Pool area filthy. Very poor experience. We could not even stay one night. Cancelled reservation.
