An adequate Motel in Zion

Provides basic necessities and meets basic requirements. The "To Go" breakfast bag provided was rather disappointing. Nothing much to recommend or compliment about this hotel....

Great Location, Comfortable Stay

Outstanding location just minutes from Zion! This is a no frills stay, but it's exactly what we wanted. We didn't plan on spending too much time in the hotel room. The to-go breakfast bag is perfect as we were trying to get to the park early on most days. The room was big and the beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Just ok.

It was bare bones ok, especially for the high prices in Zion area. No pool but she said the river was right across the street and easy to play in. Nope - several blocks down. Breakfast is a grab and go, which is great if you want early out, but nothing that fed my big boys. Requested adjoining rooms on reservation and never said they don't have them.

Very quiet, centrally located property

Check-in went very quickly. The front desk employees were very upbeat and friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had lots of restaurant choices in walking distance because this property is right in the middle of town. We used the Springdale shuttle to get into Zion NP and that was a very quick way to bypass the long line of cars at the entrance.

Dirty with Stains of pee and lipstick

The bathroom was not cleaned right. The bottom of the lid had pee stains around the base of the plastic where the screws were. The small decorative pillows that were placed on the pillows were stained and dirty. One of the decorative pillows had lipstick on it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Zion Canyon Lodge. The two receptionists were always friendly and helpful. The lobby provides free beverages and a take-out bag for breakfast: apple, yogurt, bagel and cream cheese—not gourmet-quality food but great for getting an early start at Zion. Each morning, we ate our breakfast in Zion at Grotto, where we enjoyed the view of the canyons from a picnic table. The view from the hotel rooms is magnificent. Don’t be fooled by the rustic exterior of the buildings. The hotel rooms are clean, comfortable, and modern. Note that there is no elevator to the second floor. Since check-in time is 4 pm, we were allowed to park in the parking lot until 4 pm on our departure date. We took advantage by enjoying Zion for an extra morning and afternoon before leaving Springdale.
