Nice location and staff, but run down

Convenient location and very nice staff. The place itself was fairly dilapidated. The elevator was quite shaky, my hot water nozzle was falling off, and just generally seemed a bit run down. The pillows were not very comfortable and bed was passable. It was okay for two nights, but don't think I'd come back.

The hotel was OK. It was a little old and creepy, which is not what I expected, but it wasn’t bad. The rooms were pretty clean when me and my boyfriend went out for the day we came back in room service had been in and changed the sheets and everything and they didn’t steal anything so that’s always a plus the parking for two days was $100 but it came with valet

Aged and Under Staffed, but Quiet and Convenient

We stayed at this hotel twice (before and after a cruise). The first stay we had a problem with the safe which never did get fixed in the 4 nights we were there. We did ask them about it on three occasions, and each time they would say someone would be right up, but never came. They were under staffed. Also the tv was not working very well. The 2nd stay when we got back, they upgraded us to a big room with a balcony with a pool view. Everything worked great, and everyone was helpful. It’s an old hotel that was probably fancy at one time. The location is great if you want to be in the French Quarter. Only two blocks from Bourbon Street, but surprisingly quiet.

Needs a upgrade

Where do I start...the hotel needs a major renovation! Our faucets were leaking. The phone to call down to the front desk did not work and I had to request new linen and towels the next day because they did not clean our room to after 4:00!! Did not enjoy this stay... will not be coming back to this hotel!!!

Hidden gem.

I always stay at Maison Dupuy. I love the location. The only thing wrong was with the tv. However that wasn’t there fault. Streaming service was the issue.

Went on a mother-daughter weekend trip and the hotel was fabulous! The location in the French Quarter was perfect walking distance to everything we did. The restaurant in the hotel was great and priced well. They also offered a swing lesson before music one of the nights and live music the other nights. Had a great time!

Good price, great location, beautiful property

Great location, close enough to walk everywhere but quiet. I loved having a balcony room because the courtyard was beautiful but was disappointed it was a shared balcony. The pool was wonderful and the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was good. I would definitely stay here again!

Unhappy.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. Over the years it has deteriorated to the point that we will not return. About a third of the outlets in the room did not work, there was no phone in the room that we could use to contact the front desk or get a wake up call, working with a Google TV is inappropriate for a hotel room because it is constantly asking for my Google ID and password which I will not put on the TV, the bed was made, but there was no adding coffee or cups to the room, there was no hairdryer in the room. I had to ask for that at the front desk., there were only three pillows on a king-size bed, which seems to be inappropriate. We needed to request an additional pillow. The room temperature was 69 to 70° and the thermostat could not be regulated until the last day we found somebody to help us. We requested someone come up and no one showed up prior to that. When we left, it was still only 70° so it was never fixed. Our key failed and we needed to get someone to come up and reset the lock so that we could get in our room. This hotel needs overall cleaning and improvements. We have stayed there many times and we will never stay there again.

Just ok at best

The positives were the location and comfortable beds and bedding. However….no housekeeping for 2/4 days, first night no tp, front desk not friendly or helpful. We lived here in the past and booked this hotel because our neighbor was a long time employee of the hotel. Very likely will not stay here again.
