The room was very spacious so that was lovely, but the lighting locations were a bit weird. For example the shower stall is very dim and if you are a tall person it is hard to shower.
Breakfast was okay, we stayed at different riads for two weeks and this was the only riad that did not provide eggs at breakfast (only once) and the only riad that did not provide at least one complimentary drinking water. Water was cheaper to buy at the outside stall store downstairs that sold 1.5L for 7 dirhams versus the hotel sold 330ml for 10 dirhams.
The hot tub was only lukewarm and the swimming pool was cold for early March. But it wasn’t too bad and nice to use at least once during the stay. Unfortunately we were unlucky with bad weather and we only were able to have breakfast on the rooftop once, otherwise they serve breakfast in the lobby when it is too cold and raining.
There is in fact a non advertised elevator which is technically only for staff but we used it for our suitcases and because I am pregnant it was nice to use. That is rare for many riads!
The location is 10 minute walk from the main square, it was a quieter area which was nice but a bit far to walk when it was cold and pouring rain. I liked that the location was close to a road accessible by cars so taxi pickups were easy. It’s also very close to the Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace, and tombs which were unfortunately under restoration.
