It was a lovely room, great bed for sleeping, very clean, easy check in. There was a more than adequate continental breakfast included. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again if we are in the area. Only about 15 minutes to the Maine Botanical Gardens to see the Dambo Trolls.

There was a sign at the desk saying to check in, call this # (an Atlanta phone no.) so I did. A man answered the phone and said someone would come out. After about 10 minutes a man appeared. He took our credit cards and IDs and disappeared for about 10 minutes. Very strange. He gave us keys (we were 2 people, 2 rooms). I asked for a ground floor room and he said it was not possible because the key was already made and he couldn’t change it. I insisted I needed a ground floor room. He had to call his boss because the boss was the only one who could make a key for a different room. Well it took over an hour to get a key - apparently the boss was somewhere else. The first guy did let me into my “new room” on the ground floor but I had no key so was stuck inside. I’ve never experienced such strange check-in procedures ever!
