Not their day!!

I have stayed at this location many times and it has always been clean comfortable and the service great! This trip however that was not the case. Checked in late, room did not smell great, woke up to a backed up toilet and had to use the downstairs guest bathroom, which I found out a little too late that it was out of toilet paper! I believe everyone has a bad day, so I would still give it another try based on past visits!

One Night Turned Into Four

I stayed at this location with my son the night before a conference in downtown Hartford. The hotel was well kept and staff were welcoming. We had anticipated on staying at another hotel downtown for the rest of our stay but unfortunately did not feel safe in that neighborhood. We immediately returned to the Southington hotel. While a short drive from downtown it was in a safe location and well kept. I would recommend staying here if in the area.

Complaints not addressed

I don't understand why if a group is renting multiple rooms that the hotel does not put all the rooms together. Our room was stuck in the middle of a group of about 15 early-20 year old males who were extremely inconsiderate and rude, stinking up the hallways in a non-smoking hotel with all their pot smoking, non-stop slamming doors and yelling up and down the hallway. We put up with the noise until midnight, then I went down to the front desk at midnight to complain about the noise and door slamming. The front desk employee went up and knocked on the door only to be told to go away. Eventually he got them to answer and just told them to be quiet. I don't even think he was down the hall when the noise and yelling started back up again. At 1am, I called the front desk and asked him to take care of the situation again but never heard him come upstairs. The noise finally died out at 3am (either that or I was just so tired that I finally passed out). At checkout I informed the front desk how awful the night was and was told "oh sorry". That's it? Just "oh sorry???". Not a hotel I am ever going to choose to stay in again.

When I first checked In front desk. Staff didn’t seem like he was qualified for the job. You didn’t tell us about breakfast and room was not the room that I originally picked. It was smaller than the one I picked. Not very happy about it!!

Fine stay but avoid room 200!

Very comfortable, quiet & the predictably high standard of cleanliness you expect when booking at the Holiday Inn. My only hesitation is our room: #200. Avoid it at all costs. By far the smallest in the hotel & the heating unit was old & so loud I came very close to asking to move. It literally clanked & knocked every time it came on - sounded like it was about to die. The fan in the. bathroom ran constantly. I peeked in a couple of rooms with double beds when the maids were cleaning as i walked down the hall & they seemed much more spacious. Just bad luck but if I were management I’d either take that room off the roster or save it as a last resort. OR fix it!!
