Nous avons apprécié la gentillesse de l'ensemble du personnel, ainsi que le dîner, bien que cher. L'hôtel a un charme vieillissant, également un peu cher pour la prestation et les commodités. L'absence de volets occultant, en une époque de l'année quand la nuit est déjà courte et jamais complètement noire, est gênante mais générale en Ecosse.

Lovely hotel, amazing evening meals, very helpful staff as we got a slow puncture and the owner helped inflate the tyre so we could get to a garage. Great room and lovely stay, thank you.

Wahnsinnige Lage mit tollen Ausblick. Das Hotel ist extrem schön eingerichtet, man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Das ganze daher aber leider nicht zum günstigen Kurs. Aber es ist sein Geld auf jeden Fall wert.

Wonderfully appointed room, stylish common areas and amazing food with locally sourced produce. The breakfast was an added bonus. All staff were accommodating and friendly. Excellent location.

erg mooi hotel met veel dure auto's voor de deur; parkeren gratis. De meeste gasten komen hier om te vissen. Erg mooie kamer met uitstekende bedden en een ruime badkamer met bad. Nespresso apparaat op de kamer. Bijzonder aan dit hotel is dat er geen televisies zijn. Iedereen eet in de eetzaal het standaard dagmenu en daarna de inbegrepen koffie in de diverse lounges; met sofa's en een knapperend houtvuur waar de gasten met elkaar in gesprek gaan met als centraal thema wat ze die dag hebben gevangen. Hierdoor is de sfeer uniek. Ook het ontbijt was uitstekend .

This is a marvellous gem of an hotel and I will certainly be back. Professionally friendly staff, tastefully decorated, imaginative menus and excellent food, beautifully presented. All in all, a must-have treat.

Great hotel if you want to completely go off grid and have a social media detox. No TV in bedroom and in one of our rooms no wi-fi either, felt like I had gone back in time! Also in the room with no wifi there was limited shower time (5 mins) and only cold water from the shower head in the bath. Not the best nights stay for the money at all. But I can say without any hesitation that the food was exceptional both dinner and breakfast. So very much depends on what you want from a hotel stay. We were on the NC500 trip so only staying one night so after a long days driving it would have been nice to relax in the room watching the Tennis!
