We booked because it had a 9/10 wonderful rating. We pulled up and the outside was shabby and needed a lot of attention. The rooms were refurbished but still need attention the towels were thin and the bedding not great quality and bed was damp The staff very friendly and that was its only saving grace. Would not recommend their hotel

The inside of the hotel was clean and updated, the rooms were too. They are larger and accommodating to 4 adults. The staff was friendly when we arrived after 6 and needed additional towels. It was a quick overnight and served our needs.

Room was large, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our two night stay. The room could easily accomodate an easy chair, or two,which be appreciated.

The stay at Solano Inn was perfect for our family! It was dog friendly, they allowed us to check in around 10pm and we were greeted by friendly staff. The room was lit from the outside, clean, and huge. It featured a kitchenette with microwave and mini fridge, two waters, and utensils. There was a twin size bed and small table + chairs in the first room and a large king with an en-suite. Perfect price and we’ll definitely be back when we stay in CT!

Cycling down the Airline rail trail as part of a 5 day tour. Wonderful location close to trail, clean, quiet and a relaxing bath and bed. Breakfast spot across the street has superb breakfast bowls.

Several things in the room did not function including the deadbolt. The bath tub mat and rug were dirty. Not our best experience.

The owners were accommodating of my late arrival. The place was very clean. Wall heater warmed the room quickly and quietly!

We stayed at Solano Inn to visit Wesleyan University. Good stay for the price. The bathroom had a strong smell of cigarette smoking, however. Also it would have helped to have tea bags int he room given we had an electric kettle etc in the room. Staff was kind and helpful.

My stay at the Solano Inn was fine. Nothing fancy, but that's ok since the cost was less than I expected to find in the area. The staff were all very kind and helpful. I was quite concerned that they made a copy of my credit card at check in. I've traveled a lot but never had that happen before. When I checked out I requested the copy and they returned it to me. I assume there was no second copy made. The room was large and clean. A very strong-scented air freshener was plugged in which I didn't like, so I unplugged it. There was no hair dryer, but I had thought there wouldn't be so I brought my own. I chose the Solano Inn for its location near Middleton, CT, and for the low price. It was fine.

Solano isn't the most expensive place. In order to do that it is not as fancy. This is PERFECT for business and long term stay, with friendly staff and things that work. It was very comfortable.
