Our hotel room was clean and extremely spacious! The room stayed at a cool temperature throughout the night as we could not open the window due to midges (not the hotels fault). It was comfortable, clean, spacious room with a lovely view. The onsite restaurant was delicious. The gas station and snacks were so convenient as there is nothing else in the area. It was about a 35ish minute drive to Dynjandi surrounded by a beautiful landscape!

Not many options in this part of Iceland, but the Hotel Flokalundur was a pleasant surprise with clean, comfortable rooms and a welcoming restaurant.

Property was fabulous especially considering the Westfjord’s remoteness. Made an easy day trip to western most point in Iceland to find puffins galore, then to Dynjandi Waterfall (second favorite Icelandic waterfall), using the property as our base. Breakfast & dinner was outstanding. Bravo!
