Great location, lower your expectation on service

Second time here, mainly for the london eye view. Location is great. But service was really …merely acceptable. Slow, cold, not so friendly. Lower your expectation on warm and welcoming service. Otherwise, all good.

I was surprised to find that in a hotel of this quality there was no USB port in the room for charging my phone. I was travelling very light-weight so had no laptop through which to charge it. I cannot remember when I last stayed in a hotel with no USB port in the room. Very helpfully, though, the concierge arranged to charge my phone for me. It was also disappointing that there was no sauna.

My daughter and myself were traveling on holiday. The minute we arrived, the staff was so kind and helpful. We had the do not disturb sign on our door and they even did not enter to bring us waters. We did not use the restaurants on the property but the hotel was located just across the London Eye and on the river which made for a wonderful walk in the morning and easily accessible to many of the areas in London.

This hotel feels extremely outdated. Every time I used the elevator I was honestly worried it might get stuck, which is not a great feeling when you're staying somewhere. The room also had basic functionality issues. There was no proper way to adjust the water temperature in the shower, and the curtains did not block the light well, so it was difficult to properly darken the room at night. Another downside was the gym. It is tiny and only opens during limited hours that are quite inconvenient and not really suitable for guests who want flexibility with their schedule. Overall, the hotel feels old and poorly maintained, and the facilities do not match what you would expect from a comfortable stay.

Not enough words to describe what a great stay I had at the Royal Horseguards. You cannot ask for a better or more walkable location to access all the sites of London. Also just steps away from the Embankment tube station and Waterloo train station. Beyond that, my room was beautiful with a stunning view of the Thames River and the London Eye. But the best of all was the staff. From the doorman who insisted I take a complimentary umbrella for my walk to the theater, to the front desk staff, and housekeeping, every encounter made me feel like a valued guest. With so many restaurants to choose from nearby, you might skip the hotel but I highly recommend you don't. The food is fantastic and the service impeccable. And three cheers for The bartender at Equus. That was the best French 75 I've ever had. 10/10 recommend to anyone visiting London.

Amazing location, quiet but handy for the river, tube and westminster/horseguards/Trafalgar Square. My room was comfortable but the only niggles were a lack of hot water on my first morning and a slow draining shower. Thankfully it didn't overflow, but I reported both issues on my departure. Otherwise a great place to stay with a good breakfast offering.

The room was spotless but the heated towel rail in the bathroom was not working and could not be repaired while we were there. Several windows did not fit adequately and so were draughty. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Generally we felt privileged and cared about during our stay.

My third time staying here… love the hotel. Now they state snacks free….The refrigerator had one candy bar and a cracker type snack . I had to tell them to replace the water, which they did… but for the cost of the room, they were cheap.

Pervz was wonderful! He was a complete gentleman and helped us not only with our bags but feel comfortable right away! We appreciated his attentiveness and willingness to help us without even having to ask. Yulia checked us in and was also a delight! We were able to check in a bit early and she told us all we needed to know about the hotel. Mohit delivered my room service and he was very kind. He confirmed my meal was gluten free and reassured me everything was safe to eat. We had a number of people also help us throughout our short stay, and they were wonderful too. Overall, amenities and location were perfect but the staff made our stay incredible! Can’t wait to go back! Thank you!
