Called the night before arr to book a car park..the night manager said that he penciled me down for the last car park (20 nzd per night). Arr the next day, after 4 hours of driving.. the receptionist said the car park was fully booked and my name wasn't on the list. Was not happy abt this experience at all.. There were little pieces of rubbish on the bathroom floor when we enter the room. However, the breakfast was good.

the room is a little bit small, if you got a large suitcase, you have to be careful. also, the curtain in my room has some problem and cannot be used.

I noticed there was some brown spots on the toilet walls. There was a big gap on the door, which meant that hallway light and noise was not easily buffered.

Friendly staff were happy to help with dining suggestions. The room was spacious, clean and had comfortable beds. You can see the age of the hotel in the hallways, but it is well maintained at a reasonable price, easy to get to by car or bus.

Comfortable affordable stay - rooms were very basic and dated - mould on the exterior windows and the carpet down the hallways could definetely do with replacing it was a bit of a tripping hazard. However given what we paid to stay there, you get what to pay for and it was perfect for our needs which was a clean tidy room to spend a couple of nights. Close to city not a far walk at all so good location.

Last time i came here couple of years ago you had breakfast laid on,not this time obviously. Bit of a walk to Wellingtons cafes from here. There was no air con, my room 502 was pretty damn hot over the weekend. I noticed there was a sky remote also but no actual sky service installed so kind of pointless have these remotes in the room. As i see it the corridors and the rooms need a makeover,its all looking pretty tired.

The room was really dated, shower over the bath difficult to get in and out of. Pictures on website in no way resembled the room we had. One sash window that didn't stay open and a pedestal fan. Restaurant was closed and when I booked it said there was a restaurant available on site. I get that they may be upgrading rooms but they could indicate that so that you have advance warning.
