One night stay

The hotel was nice and clean. It was extremely busy and booking in at reception took a long while on the Saturday evening. There weren't enough staff to provide the service you would expect and as we had tickets booked for the theatre, we left and returned after our night out. We enjoyed the breakfast which was hot and tasty.

Standards drop at imperial hotel

Room was dirty carpet floor stained bathroom floor dirty dust in corners Radiator very dirty , crayon and stain on wall, brass plate on inside of door loose No water on our third day Breakfast cutlery dirty on two occasions. Breakfast was good . We have been to this hotel for the last 6 years and this time was very disappointed and we will not return sorry to say.

Disappointed Stay

Came back sweating from a run in the morning to find out there was no running water so couldn’t take a shower. Had to go for breakfast in sweaty running clothes as I didn’t want to put my one set of clean clothes on while still sweaty. Toilet flush was broken so didn’t flush properly. Television didn’t work. Friends who stayed in a same priced room on the same floor as us had a mini fridge, we didn’t. Room was dated, as an example the arms on the chair were worn through.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Imperial hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Bed was very comfy and plenty of hot water. Would certainly recommend this Hotel.

Lovely stay, friendly staff in all areas of the hotel. Hotel slightly dated and needs a lock of paint in a few places but that adds to the charm. Ideal location with parking and also a tram stop just across the road. Breakfast selection was excellent. Highly recommend.

Fire Alarm causes some inconvenience.

Overall we all enjoyed our stay at the Imperial (we have stayed there a few times before). On the positive side the room we had was comfortable, clean and spacious. We had breakfast on both days and that was nice with a good selection to chose from. Suggest that a wee sign is put up to say that if you want poached eggs (rather than fried eggs) you just need to ask. Staff service was good and prompt. The hotel is an old style hotel that in my view would benefit from some modern touch ups (i.e bedroom furniture and old style plastic shower curtains). Our stay was interrupted by the fire alarm going off at first intermittently and then permanently on the morning we were checking, which necessitated getting up out of bed several times before finally going outside. Whilst this was annoying my complaint is that no-one from the hotel spoke to any of the guests standing outside (some in PJs) and advised them what was happening or where guests should gather, this was very very poorly managed my the hotel management. Will we stay at the hotel again? Yes.

Standard double room with sea view

We had a lovely 2 night stay in a very comfortable, clean and cosy room. We asked reception for a fan and they brought us one, the fourth floor was extremely quiet although wifi reception up there not so good. Everything was clean, we had a lovely sea view and the windows opened which is a massive bonus. Night entertainment was really good, drinks priced reasonably and the buffet breakfast was plentiful and very tasty indeed. Lots of options available and a lovely dining area. This is our favorite hotel in Blackpool, very old, victorian and beautiful architecture. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Staff are pleasant too.

Very disappointing.

The once grand hotel is now looking very sad and, in general, is in a poor state of repair. Carpets in some main areas need replacing, some are patched with tape whilst curtains appear very old and in need of cleaning or replacement. Check in was very slow. The computerised system appeared to be the main cause, but there was a distinct lack of staff. Bar service was terrible and the staff dress code was not to the standard expected. The breakfast service was poor both in terms of food quality and service.

Great family stay!

Spent two nights here with my two young children, we really did have a good time in Blackpool! Breakfast was good. Little outside noise at night as we were trying to sleep, due to our room facing the alley way. But overall, great stay! Also want to thank the staff at the hotel as my daughter left her phone in the room, housekeeping handed it into reception who sent it out to us that same day! Received the phone next day delivery (along with a cheque I hadn’t realised I had dropped out my bag). Carelessness, I know but so thankful for the staff at this hotel!

A pleasant stay

We have stayed many times at the Imperial hotel Bpool although not for around the last 8 years. It’s still a grand hotel although it has lost a little of its polish and is looking tired in places. The staff though friendly and helpful were not always professional. The food was good both dinner and breakfast but the bar food unfortunately wasn’t up to standard. Our room was spacious and clean. Unfortunately the health spa wasn’t in service when we stayed so we really just slept and ate at the hotel we didn’t catch the cabaret or entertainment. Please don’t let standards slip further, there are many hotels offering cheaper accommodation in Blackpool.

Saturday night at the imperial

fantastic service at the restaurant and the bar , the food especially the evening meal was outstanding . Unfortunately for us we couldn’t get the radiator to turn off in the middle of the night , very hot in the middle of summer , the 4th floor dormer /attic rooms are noisey on windy nights , not suitable for people at 5’10 and above due to beams .

Overnight stay

Stayed overnight as we were going to a concert at the Winter Gardens. The imperial is a good old fashioned hotel with decent modern facilities - excellent buffet breakfast - served our purpose. Would stay again
