Great place to stay. Lodge rooms have a gorgeous view of the Dunes - - nothing manmade between you and the Dunes except 1 road. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. The main bed was very comfortable. The pullout bed was much less comfortable but it's OK for a kid. We stayed here before the restaurant opened for the season, but they sell pizzas at the front desk. They also rented us sand sleds, and your rental is good for 24 hrs. My only tip is to bring earplugs for sleeping. The wall AC/heater unit kicks on and off throughout the night. Will absolutely stay here again next time we're visiting the Dunes.

Perfect location to go to the great Sands national Park and explore all the trails as well as the sand dunes. The staff of the hotel was really great and we met the owner Alps who was positive. Susan at the front desk was very nice and easy to work with also.

Une vue incroyable, le système de petit déjeuner que l’on ramène à la chambre est super ça nous permet de bien profiter. Les chambres sont spacieuses et le parking est devant chaque chambre c’est super. Un rapport qualité prix génial, je recommande à 100 % pour une nuit de visite !

Very nice rooms with kitchenette and lots of space. Clean and comfortable beds. Breakfast was a surprise with boiled eggs, yougurt, waffles, fruit, muffins, bagels, toast nd cereal. Would stay again as it is close to the Dunes. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The best thing about the lodge is its proximity to Great Sand Dunes National Park. It is by far the lodging closest to the park. Scenery is gorgeous. There are very few dining options near the lodge. Pizza was available for purchase from the lodge office until 6 or 7pm.

Can't beat the view!

Staff were friendly and check in/out was quick. We stayed in the dome. Nights were cool so there was a heater (air conditioner for summer). Bath houses were clean and they provided towels and mat in the dome. The lobby had pizza for dinner (Papa Murphy's and an oven to cook it in). Must be cooked by 7pm when office closes. Breakfast was provided with waffles, coffee, tea, single serve pastries, and juice. They also rent sand boards/sleds Can't beat the view! Grounds were pet friendly so my puppers got to walk up through the tent camping area which offered some great views of the dunes.
