The Swell Motel was swell! It is an older hotel so don’t expect perfection. The room was clean. The staff is friendly. It was quiet and family friendly. It was close to everything. One thing I appreciated was they offered everything that you could possibly need at no additional cost from pool toys/floats to bikes and kayaks. I would stay here again!

The Swell was just what we needed! Clean, inviting, pet friendly, large outdoor kitchen with grills and sink, has a friendly campground/motel atmosphere. Plenty of supplies in the room to fix a full meal. Bed in D1 needs to be replaced. Linens clean and fresh. Bathroom could use a makeover but plenty of towels and hot water. We will definitely return!

This has to be the best place in Buxton! The staff was awesome they have clean comfortable we arrived early and were welcome to put our things in the room and go enjoy the beach. Loved having use of the kayaks, crab cages, fire pit, outdoor games, bicycles! Amazing place definitely would go again.
