The only positive aspect of this stay was the staff, who genuinely tried to help and did their best to improve the situation. Unfortunately, the property itself was extremely disappointing. The photos shown on Hotels.com are either very outdated or not representative of the current condition. The actual room and facilities were in poor shape and far below expectations, to the point of being quite embarrassing. While I appreciate the effort from the staff, the overall experience did not match what was advertised, and this needs to be addressed to avoid misleading future guests.

Não recomendo este Hotel. Cobraram o valor a mais da hospedagem (em vez de USD 454,00 cobraram USD 468,31) e mesmo eu reclamando para 3 pessoas diferentes, ninguém resolveu o problema. O café da manhã, que deveria ser servido às 7:00, só foi servido às 7:30 porque os funcionários chegaram atrasados. Aliás, o café da manhã é bem limitado - só há 2 opções de pratos (omelete ou dominicano) e para beber, somente suco de laranja e café puro (sem leite), e teve um dia que nem café havia. Os funcionários são totalmente despreparados. A funcionária da cozinha me perguntou se eu tinha algo para acender o fogo! A limpeza do quarto não é satisfatória - eles arrumam a cama, para constar que limparam o quarto, quando na verdade o chão está todo sujo de areia. Não sei como esse hotel tem licença para funcionar! Nota zero.

Lugar maravilhoso, porém o que deixou a desejar foi a limpeza da acomodação, sujeira no chão, debaixo das camas, o banheiro um cheiro forte de esgoto, pia da cozinha suja, toalhas de banho velhas e com marcas de sujeiras que não saíram na hegienização! Café da manhã sem nada de opção, somente é servido um cardápio sem ter praticante poder de escolhas própria para café da manhã, que está incluso na estadia! Os funcionários são educados, porém em alguns faltou o sorriso no rosto e a cordialidade, o comércio local é razoável, qdo vc entra no comércio o preço varia de acordo a cada um, pq nada é indentificado com preço marcado, porém são cordiais com os clientes! Os restaurantes são bons com comida boas! É a Polícia sempre muito ativa em seus trabalhos, Com tantas opçoes de lugares, mesmo que tive dias bons nessa localidade eu jamais recomendaria aos parentes e amigos e já estou na certeza que jamais voltarei lá!

Overall the stay was nice. The staff is helpful and very personable. The beachside bar was comfortable and the food was decent. The room was clean but the room I was in had some weird quirks. The door stop was in the middle of the floor and could be a good way to stub a toe. There was a window to the hallway. While private enough, the light was quite bright into the room. Nothing a sleep mask didn't solve. All this said, I would stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Checkin. However, there are few things to be mindful for those that are visiting this hotel as an English speaking traveler. First of all, the property is not huge and as result there is limited beach front space available. However, the staff works diligently to maintain the property and there's always someone friendly at the front desk to help with any request you may have. It's not a 5 star resort, but its a cute little hotel where you can setup and have the option to check out the beach or local shops. Having breakfast available as part of the stay is also handy. Second, IF you only speak English, it's a little tough to communicate as most of the staff are not very fluent (including the bar). In that case, ask for Danna at the front desk who speaks English very well and was extremely helpful! She was kind enough to help us with various translation needs. Lastly, the hotel is located at the end of the street and its sometimes hard to find. There's another Hotel Checkin nearby and that leads to some confusion about the location. This could be challenging if you're trying to locate the hotel or if using Uber. Overall, my family really enjoyed the stay and consider this hotel as a small gem at the Cortecito beach. I will definitely go back in future.

We moved out after one night! The room they gave us was so incredibly horrible that we couldn’t sleep. There was a window to the corridor which had no covering and a light was shining into the room all night. We booked a room based on the pictures in the ad, but we think we got a staff quarters room, for over $200 a night! To their credit, Expedia sorted it for us and we moved out after one night. Expedia was fantastic!

Safe was broken in room. My suitcase was ransacked while I was out of room and money was stolen. They said they checked the cameras and found nothing and couldn't help me. Both balcony doors did not lock. One should be able to go to hotel and have a secure room with out the fear of being robbed of ones belongings.

I went to Punta Cana for Thanksgiving and although I was a solo traveler everyone was like family to me. I was greeted by Danna with a big smile which is great when you first arrive somewhere and made me feel so comfortable. The staff- Anyi and I wish I I knew everyone's names were amazing. I felt so safe and they would help with anything you needed. Thank you and I hope one day I get to see all of you again!!!!
