Ray is always warm & friendly. The hotel is well cared for & always clean. I’ve stayed there 4-5 times & I’m never disappointed. It’s just a short jaunt down the 101 to Goleta to visit my kid in college!

Great service and a good location. Restaurants nearby. Refrigerator worked very well and the microwave was a nice addition. The air conditioner worked very well too! Comfortable place just a little outdated. I would stay there again.

I have stayed at the San Marcos Hotel several times & the rooms are very clean, the staff is exceptionally helpful & friendly, & I always feel very safe. I would highly recommend.

The main reason for the great review was the cost/quality ratio. For what we paid it was a great experience. The hotel was very quiet and the room was homey. There was a fridge, a microwave, and a TV with cable and internet access. (more than some expensive hotels!) Would stay here again if in the area.
