Excellent location in the middle of old town with a bustling piazza on the doorstep BUT is hidden behind so very quiet. Lovely rooftop to enjoy a beer and watch the sunset on Vesuvius. The Underground Tour is close by and v enjoyable along with every type of food and drink

Naples is an interesting city, it doesn’t look the most welcoming. It has constant movement, where you’ll be dodging mopeds and has graffiti everywhere. However Relais San Severo was conveniently placed next to a main shopping street while also being tucked away enough so you don’t hear the movement and feel safe. It was very clean and the staff was very accommodating. If I ever come to Naples again, I will be a repeat customer.

Housekeepers left food in our fridge from a former guest. Ice machine and coffee maker had dirty water in them from god knows when. Didn't clean our room one day for some reason, and one of the front desk staff was pretty rude when we asked about it. Shower system was completely clogged with calcium causing it to spray everywhere. You have to take a tiny elevator to reach the hotel which inexplicably costs .50 Euro — the hotel will provide this but it's just odd and inconvenient. Location is great but that's about it, wouldn't recommend to a friend.

When we first got dropped off by the taxi we were quite worried because of how busy it was in the area. We found the address and went up the elevator to an incredible suite with a balcony overlooking a beautiful garden. It also had a rooftop balcony with a view of Mt Vesuvius and the ocean. Matteo was great and provided us with a map and showed where the attractions are. He gave us a number to call anytime if we needed anything including transportation. We highly recommend anyone travelling to Naples to stay at Relais San Severo. You’ll love it! Scott and Sarah!

Room was a good size with a nice bathroom and comfortable queen size bed. The hotel is on the 4th floor of a building and our host did a great job guiding us to the elevator. He also gave us food recommendations as well as general information about areas in Naples to explore.

Naples isn’t the cleanest city I’ve been too, but this hotel is in a really good spot for the central area of town. The staff was great and the room was awesome. It’s not a full service hotel, but there’s plenty to make up for it. The rooftop view was great.

This hotel is located on the 4th floor of an older building in a very busy, noisy neighborhood. Nevertheless, it is convenient and there are numerous restaurants nearby. The lobby, rooms and bathrooms are quite nice and at a 5 star level. But the building is old, the elevator is old and tiny. The highlight is the rooftop terrace which was terrific!

Upon arrival we were greeted by our hosted cheerfully and explained everything we needed to know. The property itself is very clean and modern for being in an older building and had an upstairs patio to enjoy the view of Naples. We were only there for one night but we enjoyed our short stay because even though it is conveniently located in the main area with all the noise from the outside.. the inside of the hotel was very quiet. Overall, would recommend this hotel if you are staying in that area!

Excellent, friendly host. Clean, comfortable modern room. Only feedback that I would offer is that it is not well signposted. A brass plaque on the street wall indicates that the hotel is on the fourth floor. The lift is also not signposted and so we carried our luggage up the stairs when we arrived.

Small, basic BnB; poor, unreliable service

Note this is a very small property on the 4th floor of an apartment building that appears to only be staffed during business hours. The room was nice enough and clean. Location great right in the old city. There is a nice terrace overlooking the city. I think for the price you should consider a normal hotel. Don't expect any service. We had a problem with a 4:20AM taxi reservation to go to airport. Agreement was the taxi would be there at 4:20 and we'd get a text. We were in the street waiting at 4:15. No taxi. No text until 4:38 and the taxi did not show up until 4:50. Driver said he had been told 5:00AM. The hotel staff had blasé, defensive attitude about the mix up: first said we were not in the street waiting for the taxi (we were). Then said we should have called them (we did, they did not answer until 15 minutes later). Never apologized. Again, for the price, I recommend you choose a professional establishment.
