Weekend stay in Copenhagen

The hotel is undergoing a makeover and so floors 1 & 2 were out of action. Our room was great very spacious and comfortable and did look as though the room was fairly new. We had everything we needed in here. The location is fantastic as it is literally 5 mins walk from the Tivoli main entrance. It is also right by a train station and so really easy to get around the city. We actually ended up walking everywhere although we caught a cruise to see the little mermaid which is further out of the city. The Rosenberg castle and botanical gardens are a 20 mins walk away. There are plenty of restaurants and bars close by and a 7/11 across the road from the hotel. Breakfast was included and was varied and we had no trouble getting a table in the morning.

The hotel is under renovation but poorly managed. Front desk staff is overwhelmed and cannot be bothered at all. Rubbish around the entrance. Bathroom drainage had problems so after one bath the bathroom floor was flooded. I called the front desk the night manger gave a look and says give a look tomorrow. The next evening, after coming back from long day of work, still flooded, not even cleaned! Asked the front desk, they were not aware of this issue. And I was promised a fix. So I went out for dinner. As you can guess, after came back, still not touched. I gave up on this hopeless place. I cannot believe I paid nearly 500euros per night for this.

Disappointing for this hotel price class

On the surface, it seems like a nice hotel - however, we sadly had quite some smaller things - and then it adds up. First of all, at check in, the staffmember had quite a snobbish attitude. Basically we felt like we where a burden, instead of a welcome guest. This felt quite bad. At the room, the cleaning was just under what we expect. also, there is no papers under the glass and cups, so they where just turned upside down on a very dusty tray - so one does not feel like drinking from them and wounder when they where changed last. The shaving kit what was offered at the room, had been opened. We did not need it - but if we had needed it, we would definitely not have felt safe using it, since it was a open package. Those should be disposed from former guests. The toilet, could basically not flush out properly. After a pee-pee it had to be flushed 2 times - after a bigger deal, it had to be min. 3 times - where you need to wait every time ofc. for it to fill totally with water, to then flush again. 3 times... Thats both gross and annoying. The hairdryer was from 1935 i think and it was not only very ineffective, but the plastic was also all melted and brown all around the edge. Very gross as well. And lastly, at check out, again the staff. No "how was your stay? Was everything in order?" or "We hope to see you back again".. no. When saying we wanna check out, the staffmember just took the key and said "thank you" and then look away! Disappointing for this hotel priceclass.

Fantastisk ophold midt i hjertet af København

Fantastisk ophold midt i hjertet af København 🌟 Vi havde en skøn oplevelse på Hotel Imperial! Allerede ved ankomsten blev vi mødt af super venligt og imødekommende personale – præcis den varme og autentiske velkomst, vi altid håber på, når vi rejser. Hotellet ligger virkelig centralt – kun få minutters gang fra Vesterport Station. Det er nemt at komme hertil fra lufthavnen: Tag den gule metro til Nørreport og skift til S-toget direkte til Vesterport, som ligger lige overfor hotellet. Så bliver det ikke meget lettere! Vores værelse var dejligt med balkon og fin udsigt, og vi satte stor pris på de rolige omgivelser midt i byen. Der var også fitnessfaciliteter på hotellet, hvilket er et klart plus. Lige ved siden af hotellet ligger en kæmpe biograf og en fantastisk italiensk restaurant, hvor både maden og personalet emmede af ægte italiensk stemning – lige som vi elsker det. Alt i alt en rigtig dejlig oplevelse. Tak til hele teamet på Imperial – vi kommer helt sikkert igen! 🙌
