As you can tell by the title, this a follow up to her view I posted back at the end of March. This time I had a room which was on the newly renovated upper floors. The room was SPACIOUS! I could easily have done gymnastics in the space that the room. The bed was comfortable and the renovations turned out really well. I highly recommend if you are traveling with your partner or by yourself to get one of the king rooms. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and kind (even to people who came in with a sense of entitlement). They had anything I happened to request at various times throughout my stay. I also love that the hotel is just a simple walk away from the Riverlink Ferry which is great if you’re gonna go see a concert in Camden. The only sort of issue was the shower taking longer than usual to heat up but after about a good minute, it would get there.

2nd time I’ve stayed here in 2 weeks: first time I stayed the fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night. The hotel did apologize and refund for the inconvenience. When staying this last time, 2 nights ago; I had to go downstairs once as well as call from my cell phone to the front desk once (phone isn room did not work) to complain about partying noises in the room next to me. They claim they spoke to them both times. Again, at 2am this continued on. Nothing was done. Upon checking out, after having breakfast and half of the food was gone and not replaced, I let the front desk know about my stay. I told them I came back like they had asked me to, to give them a second chance but I would not be back again. I was told, “we’re sorry to see you leave”. I contacted hotels.com to let them know what occurred. They contacted the hotel directly and the hotel refused to give any type of refund. I am baffled by this considering I’ve now stayed twice in 2 weeks and tried to give them a second chance. I do not recommend this hotel. If your not going to take care of your customers, listen to their concerns or even act like you care; why are you in the hospitality business.

Our stay occurred during some ongoing renovations occurring at the property. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly greeted by hotel staff and were promptly provided key cards for parking and our room. We stayed one night and were out early enough to not be impacted by any noise from the construction. We stayed on the 9th floor (room 918, City View) and generally the room was clean and well taken care of. The two negatives, one being a minor inconvenience, that we experienced during our stay was that the TV was outdated (not a smart TV) and the constant noise from traffic passing on the highway. We checked the window several times to make sure that it was fully shut and ultimately determined that the STC rating of the window was either inadequate and/or the caulk around the opening was failing allowing extra noise to pass through. Ultimately the noise prevented me and my partner from having a pleasant night's rest. The stay did include a free breakfast that we opted not to indulge in.

My stay here was great, less than 24 hours. The river view I had from my room was amazing!!! The bed was super comfortable and the room was quite clean with no serious issues (there was an eyelash? an hair? on the other queen bed in the room when I checked for bedbugs). Bathroom was neat and the mini fridge was clearly taken care of. The hotel is currently undergoing a renovation in the upper floors so be aware that noise may be higher than normal. It took a little while for the hot water to get hot in my shower but I figured it was just due to the construction so no big deal. Noise from other guests was louder in the halls but once in my room, it was relatively quiet. Breakfast was pretty decent with a fancy pancake machine that made some good ones. And the staff was literally so kind (even to people who did not deserve kindness based on how they acted). As for parking, the way to get into the lot was confusing but the attendant (?) gave me very clear directions that made it less confusing. BE AWARE THE PRICE FOR PARKING IS ACTUALLY $37. When you check in and give them a card for the $50 incidentals fee, they let you know that the $37 will come out of the $50 and you’ll be refunded the remaining $13 (should you not party like a rock star lol). Overall, the place is great stay for a few nights and was great value for the price. It’s located on the edge of Old City. I highly recommend exploring the area as it’s so nice. And you should watch the sunrise on Race St Pier!!!

I had booked a King bed, River view room. Two weeks before check in, I call the hotel to confirm. Which they did and even promised a room on either floors 5 or 6. Cause the top two were being remodeled. We show up and are told we will be getting a queen bed room, but we should be ok with that because we are being upgraded to a river view. After 30 minutes of saying we only had reserved a standard king room, we went to our room on the 2nd floor. The view of the river (the view could be obstructed by holding a pencil at arms length in front of you). At check out we are then told we did reserve a king bed river view, but we would have our $25 dollar parking for free. But I still have to pay extra for a room I didn’t get. Thank you holiday inn express penns landing for the memories.
