This hotel has a few things to recommend it - location, included breakfast, indoor and outdoor pools, and price. The property is a little dated. The outdoor pool hours are "variable". Breakfast was plentiful, with offerings for everyone (please add grits). The outdoor dining space was never set up and the interior space is limited. Our balcony was really only half usable because one side had the air conditioner exhaust blowing on it. It also overlooked a car dealership's lot and repair garage. Our room was spacious with two distinct living areas, two televisions, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The room safe didn't work. The bedside lamps were three-way lamps with one-way bulbs, making it necessary to push the on/off switch several times to achieve on or off. There seemed to be a leak somewhere in the roof or wall along the bathroom and dripping could be heard during rainstorms and showers.
Probably the most egregious of all the problems was overhearing the staff discuss and mock a customer who had called to complain about her acommodations after her visit. I found their behavior to be rude and unprofessional as they stood at the front desk having their conversation while the custmer was on hold. I easily heard them while seated in the breakfast area.
I think this property would benefit from some remodeling, a deep cleaning, and some new staff members.
