We loved the resort and all amenities but in our room the toilet seat was broken, faucet in sink was broken and the toilet paper holder was broken. The beds could have been softer also. But having everything right there for the grand daughter to do was a plus.

The room was clean and the bathroom was spotless BUT the TV did not work properly and maintenance said it was due to lightning. Not my problem I should have not been put in that room. No 24-hour coffee. The front desk said there was coffee in the room. There was, it was so bad that I almost vomited. The coffee in the breakfast restaurant was no better. Finally, the breakfast was bad too. We ended up going to Waffle House. Will not stay there again.

Everyone was so friendly. The room was huge, and had a view of the gulf. Room and hallway were always quiet. We were there in early February so can't really comment on the pool.

We thought we'd treat ourselves for New Year's at a nice ocean view resort. Unfortunately, this is not a resort, at least not in the winter time. Not even any breakfast available anywhere on their extensive campus, even in the one restaurant that was open. That restaurant was noisy (despite only a few people) because it adjoins a games arcade. No ambiance, and yet regular restaurant prices. When we arrived, we were only the second party there for dinner, yet they sat us right next to the other party, which was literally a kids' birthday party. We had to ask to move. Only 2 luggage carts for two buildings. Erratic heating and air conditioning. Dated decor, few hooks or towel racks in the bathroom, and yet they charged a $59 resort fee on top of their already higher than usual hotel room charge. And when we tried to watch the ball come down in Times Square, the TV couldn't get that channel (or most other channels either). Gulfport was nice, this hotel not so much!

I had gone for the Mississippi Gulf coast half marathon. The phone in the room was not working. The day before the race I asked front desk staff is the hotel provides a shuttle to the start line and they said yes. I talked to other runners and they had conflicting views on whether a shuttle was provided on the day of the race. In the evening around 7pm on Saturday I called the front desk to confirm, the receptionist was rude and said we don't have anything to do with the race you should contact the race itself and the hotel doesn't provide a shuttle. I told her they shouldn't be conflicting messages from day shift to evening shift on whether a shuttle is provided she said she can't help me so she is going to transfer me to her manager. I got mad and hang up. I booked an Uber for the race. On the day of the race as I was going to the Uber, there was a shuttle bus waiting to pick up runners. My question is if the hotel is a host hotel, why don't you inform your staff that you are a host hotel and there is transportation day of the race? There was no breakfast for runners day of the race before the race. I would have gladly paid for breakfast. Needless to say please if you are a runner like me, don't book this hotel.
