I stayed at this location hoping for something basic but clean, considering my limited budget as a teacher. I understand staying in a lower-cost area often comes with trade-offs, including nearby homelessness and older buildings—but cleanliness should never be one of them.
Unfortunately, this property missed the mark. Linens were torn and stained, furniture was visibly soiled, and many surfaces that could’ve been easily wiped down simply weren’t. The sofa bed mattress was falling apart with exposed staples—completely unsafe. The refrigerator was leaking and hadn’t been cleaned, and the basic kitchenware was in poor shape: scratched, stained, or missing altogether.
I’m okay with a property that’s run down. But dirty? That’s where I draw the line.
To their credit, the property issued me a full refund. But honestly, Sonesta should not operate this location under their name unless it’s properly maintained and equipped. The staff did try to make it right, but I just couldn’t stay past the first night.
