The staff is the only reason this place is not terrible. My room appeared clean and neat. The mini fridge still had food and mold inside. The drawers were broken. The worse part is ROACHES. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, an overnight stay was needed. I stayed because i not mobile and it would have taken too long to get ferunded.

Moldy non working fridge with some type of yogurt that was left inside.

Upon arrival there was a broken light but as soon as it was reported; staff made arrangements to repair it the next day.

The AC filter was very dirty and caused my allergies to flair up. We ended up cleaning it with a toothbrush. The AC was very loud and kept coming on and off. There were no washcloths, the first room they gave us the bed was broken and there was no linen. We luckily had some cleaning wipes with us that we used to wipe off the counters. The area was also very loud. Paint was chipped. The staff was friendly and the TV was good size and had HBO and Showtime though.

Staff was very polite ready and willing to address concerns or answer questions, bed was actually comfortable, and pool was good. Other than that the room was in horrible condition. Booked hotel for a week, Went through 3 rooms before unfortunately due to other circumstances we stayed in. Bought my own Lysol to clean the room. I think staff are doing the best with cards delt, I believe the situation/condition of the hotel is a corporate failure.

HAD BED BUGS.

The toilet barely flushed. The plunger was broken. The bed was uncomfortable. It smelled like smoke. The bed had bed bugs. This place is better off just shutting down.

Our room wasn't very clean. The smoke detector had been stolen and the wires were just hanging from the ceiling but hey, the room served a purpose and the staff were very accommodating!!

Unfortunately, my husband and I’s stay was AWFUL. My husband is in the Marine Corps and I come up to visit periodically, we usually stay at a different hotel, but decided to try this one since it was cheaper. When we first got there and checked in, the room we were given was absolutely trashed and we had to go back up to the desk to be given a new room. Upon entering our new room, there were several issues, the smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling, the sheets were not cleaned well, there was evidence of dirty paw prints (presumably a dogs, I have no issue with pets in hotels, just uncleaned sheets) on the bed, several lights didn’t work, there were bugs, dead and alive that we had to get rid of, it’s clear the room isn’t cleaned throughly as we found a pair of women’s underwear on top of one of the cabinets, the A/C unit leaked and flooded part of our floor, there was a piece of flooring missing, the breakfast wasn’t well, stale cereal, odd tasting eggs and so on, luckily Jacksonville is a beautiful area so we found things to do to spend as little time at the hotel as we could, but it was a truly disappointing and frustrating stay, and we will not be staying again, we were trying to save money on a cheaper hotel, but we learned it is definitely a “get what you pay for” situation. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I booked this as my 2nd choice. Hilton was double the price. It didnt have the rooms i needed bed wise. So i decided to give Baymont a chance here. Some can be god awful nadty ghetto. Some super nice and family friendly. I pulled in. It looked nice. I went in and Terry was a god send. It was a rough night to get to the hotel. 12 hours on the road and had to have my son drive almost 2 hours to get to us. So we were exhausted by the time we got to check in. She thought we had a reservation for the current day not the previous night. Once we got that handled she realized no one put the rooms together like requested and should have. She genuinely felt bad. Explained thats not what they usually do. We said its ok. Dont worry. We were just tired and could handle that. Room 2 was a broken bed. So she got us another one. Room 3 no electricity to one side of the room. She comped an extra room since the doube beds were out. So room 4 was a win. Tv didnt work but thats not something that really mattered to us. You can tell a disgruntled employee messed with the rooms. Terry was friendly happy genuine. She likes her job. Also cleaning staff, they handled it. Maintenance guy on point. Breakfast was GREAT. In all these rooms not 1 bug like others have said. Not 1 bed bug. I looked in all! Not 1 roach! Again 3 rooms for 2 days. So understand we were in and out and the rooms used! The staff makes up for the hotel being older. Corporate needs to see how it is here! 5 stars

You get what you pay for. Housekeeping is terrible and will not come if requested. I had to change my own sheets when needed since housekeeping couldn't be bothered. Front desk staff were incredible but this is NOT a place to stay with children.

First room they gave me had not been cleaned, still had things in it from previous people. Second room the door would not open. Third room was clean but no towels in it and someone had left a vape on the sink counter. Breakfast muffins were stale and dry, biscuits and gravy that i tried had very dried out biscuits. All in all not a good experience with this place, will not be using it again EVER

This property is definitely not what was on the website. Needs a MAJOR update. The front door we had to push it really hard to shut. You can see daylight through it. The bathroom was horrible. There was mold, the fixture was erroding away. The remote did not work for the tv

Very very disappointed and unsatisfied

I went to check in to my king size room was given my key. I drove around to my room and it was dirty bedding on the dresser. The pillowes where pilled on the desk chair. The phone and tv was uphooked. I was pissed aftwe driving 6 hours i was exhausted so i went back to the front desk and came to find out someone elses room was in the same condition. The manager gave him a replacement room same bed size. So it comes to my turn and all she has is 2 double beds. Excuse me i paid for a king you have no replacement according to her so i asked for a refund she says 7-10 business days. So i asked where am i supposed to sleep in my car no so i demanded my money back on my card finally she did. Point is i will never stay at this hotel every again.
