We tried to check in early at 1.30 pm but the front desk clerk quickly brushed us off saying that there would be no rooms available until 3 pm, without bothering to check availability on the computer. When the four of us (including 2 kids) sat in front of the desk with our luggage committed to waiting until 3 pm, he suddenly discovered that two rooms next to each other are actually available! Later that evening same evening, when I noticed that one of our rooms had a noisy A/C unit and I requested another room, I spoke to a different front desk person that claimed that there was no other rooms with 2 queen beds available in the entire hotel. When I told him that my Hotels.com app indicated that 4 such rooms were available for booking, he claimed that those rooms were handicap access and had a different price to what we paid for our room and therefore I could not use that room. A price difference seemed like a sad reason to confine us to a noisy room in which we could not sleep. When I asked to speak to a manager, he was quickly able to find a room right next door to the room we had, and lo and behold it was a normal 2-queen room without handicap access! Overall, we got the impression the front desk personnel were lazy and would do anything to minimize their work, even at the cost of customer comfort. The bad experience with the front desk personnel marred an otherwise pleasant stay.
