I recently booked two rooms for two days through the Hotels.com app and paid half upfront. Upon arrival, I checked my team in and paid the remaining balance in full. However, a few hours before our check-out time, I was informed by the clerk that one of the rooms was showing as unpaid and that they didn’t know where the funds were, despite having taken a deposit for both rooms.
The clerk suggested I call Hotels.com to track down my payment, which was very frustrating, especially late at night. According to my receipt, the booking was paid for in full, yet I still haven't received my $50 deposit for each room. It was bewildering to be told that I must have paid someone else when everything was settled on my end.
Now back home, six hours away, I still haven’t received any updates regarding the refund for my deposits. This delayed communication has been incredibly disappointing.
Aside from this significant issue, I found the hotel to be professionally organized, with clean rooms and very friendly staff. If it weren’t for this payment confusion and lack of follow-up, my experience would have been excellent
