Unfortunately, our stay in this Lagos apartment was extremely disappointing.
The biggest issue was the smell—it was overpowering, a mix of rot and vomit, and made the space almost uninhabitable. It was so bad it actually made me feel sick. We had planned to enjoy the room and patio with local food and wine, but instead avoided the apartment as much as possible.
Communication with staff was also very poor. After multiple attempts, I finally reached someone who said maintenance would come, but no one ever showed up, and I never received any follow-up. Even now, there’s been no response to my messages.
The apartment itself was lacking basics: minimal kitchen supplies, no extras like laundry soap (despite a mouldy washer), and overall felt poorly maintained. The beds were old and uncomfortable, and the pillows were not great.
We ended up spending far more money eating out and staying away just to avoid being in the unit.
I tried not to let it ruin our trip, but it definitely impacted our experience. Unless you have very low expectations and don’t mind cleanliness issues and strong odors, I would not recommend staying here.
