Not a 10.

The best part about the stay was honestly the food we ordered from the restaurant. We arrived late and we were tired. We ordered a burger and the Salmon. So if those are for you, you will not be disappointed. The not so best part. We arrived well after check in. There were no luggage carts. The gentleman that checked us in could have been related to Wednesday. No smile. No welcoming disposition. Nevertheless, we got checked in. We made it to the room, got our showers, and settled in to watch TV. It took a bit. The remote was hidden in the dresser drawer and there was only one. So the living area and the bedroom shared one. The note on the front table said they would not be doing room service unless asked due to short staffing. The short staffing was apparent. The furniture had not been dusted and we had to rinse out the tub. We could have said something but chose not to. It was one night. The next morning we went to eat breakfast. We generally stay at Embassy due to my food allergy. The tables that were available were dirty. So I found a clean station and cleaned off the table and wiped it down. We did the same when we were finished for the next person thinking it would be the same for them. The poor gentleman at the egg station. He was doing all he could but he was alone and the line was long and not moving. So, coffee and oatmeal it was. The lady greeting people as they came in was very nice though. Will not return.

I found it annoying there is a $10 parking fee added to the cost which isn’t mentioned anywhere on hotels.com. They also closed the pool 30 minutes early which was frustrating because we wanted to sit in the hot tub. The breakfast attendant was a little aggressive checking people in. But the room was clean and everything worked as it should.

Wouldn't stay here again

Place was a ghost town when I showed up. Wallpaper peeling off the walls. I stood at the front desk for 10+ minutes before anyone materialized. Couldn't have been 10 people staying at the hotel. Escalator at the front was all torn apart and closed off also so pretty much an eyesore.

Roaches in the room, bad experience!

Hotel lobby was beautiful. Rooms were unclean, roaches present in first room. Asked to be moved 2nd room worse than the first. Shower not fully operable. Hole in sofa couch mattress. Gum on headboard. Room hard not been properly cleaned. Gave up complaining after front desk complaints were referred to Hilton Honors program- put on hold over 40 minutes- they had a wrong email address. The front desk had entered my email address… Terrible experience. No rest! Air conditioning also did not work. 7 hours from home and no recourse from the hotel. Shuffled around, no management present, Inefficient, ineffective front desk who do not/ can not resolve issues.

Needed a place to sleep for the night on our way back to KC from Florida. Booked the Embassy and paid $200 for a few hours of sleep because I wanted a clean and comfortable place after a long drive without worry. Got to our room and it was filthy! Shredded cheese all over the dining table and spilled soda. Went to pull back the covers and there was a pair of dirty slippers in the bed!!! Went to the front and they desk and they moved us to new room. Got to the 2nd room and the beds were unmaid and dirty!!! Switched to a third room and it had ZERO towels and the toilet was clogged. We had to use rhe lobby restrooms as there was one employee working and no maintenance!

Memphis , do better! Give me $ back

Check in was simple but the check in fella was not very personable. Got up to the room and pulled out the sofa sleeper, the cover was urine stained and was dirty with black grain like stuff all over it. There was no linens for it AT ALL. My husband had to go down to get some, they didn't even care about the fifth of it. We had no extra toilet paper , hardly any on the roll and it ran out. The breakfast was awful! Food was cold and gross! Staff at the breakfast area was rude with the exception of one lady who was a gem (bussing off tables). Garbage was overflowing outside ..... just a dump!

Cleanliness could be better

Not sure if this was a hotel wide issue or just my specific room, but I didn’t get the feeling that our room was really inspected/thoroughly cleaned before being ready. The hand lotion was not secured into the wall, rusting behind the toilet, the floor mat had an obvious stain. We didn’t see it until the morning but the bed sheet also had a yellow stain. I didn’t take a picture but we moved the couch pillow to pull out the sofa bed and sitting on the couch cushion was a couple of coins and hard candy - nothing that was disgusting, but things that were obviously in sight and would have been seen if the couch had been cleaned in between visitors. I told a staff member, not really looking for a refund just so they knew the condition of the room, and he offered to put points on my Hilton account (which he didn’t even end up doing.) I will say, probably the best free breakfast buffet of any hotel I’ve stayed at. The omelet bar was fantastic and a large variety of other hot food.
