We had been referred to this hotel by a family member with kids, so we knew it was kid and pet friendly. The rooms were a bit dated but clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We thought the location would be closer to the water, it wasn't and the nearest dog friendly beach was a drive, not a walk. The hotel is on a busy corner and the traffic was very noisy all night. We liked the happy hour and the breakfast. Both were free to guests which was great. However, when we ordered food from the resturant to eat in the lounge area, we were told that we couldn't eat there because we had our dog with us. We took the food to our room and they had put 21 (yes 21!) packets of ketcup in our bag for one kid size fries and the wings my husband ordered were not edible. That and being told we had to eat in our room was disappointing. Sorry, but for the price of the room and having to pay to park, we will look at other hotels closer to other amenities and the beach.
