Hotel was very clean and easy to find in the historic district. Easy walking to bars and restaurants. Hotel room was vey clean. Bed was so-so and pillows were awful for a Marriot Properties. Other than that, no issues.

Kirkwood couple

Not the best overnight stay

The traffic noise was high, loud bass, exhaust, etc until 2 am for our room that was facing the road. Pull out sofa was uncomfortable and could not sleep.

The most important, beds were very comfortable. Parking was easy with the ramp in back. We didnt get to experience it, but the location is nestled in a lovely downtown area.

Not a welcoming checkin

Location was great, room was fine. Biggest issue was checkin. We came in right before midnight and parking is only behind the building. Unfortunately, there is no way to enter from that side unless you have already checked in and have a key. There’s no buzzer or phone on the back entrance where everyone parks. So, close to midnight, with all my bags, in the rain, I had to walk all the way around the hotel. And not even the front was open, I had to pick up the phone and it rang probably 10 times before I saw someone emerge from the back room from the checkin desks, looking like I’d woken her up. She was not welcoming, nor cared when I mentioned it would be great if there was a way to get in from the back. I was already exhausted from my drive in so wish all of that unnecessary hassle could’ve been avoided.

Sioux City Courtyard Marriott

Good stay. Only a few issues. The water pressure in the shower was not good. Also, when a toilet flushed on the floor above it sounded like water rushing down the wall while you slept often waking me up. Last issue was the homeless. A fair amount and some were in the parking garage elevator area when we left putting me on edge with my family. The Sioux City PD did show up and run them off property which was nice to see.

Everything was going great until got to the room and is a lot smaller than expected. The fridge in the room is the smallest fridge I never seen before. I’m a little disappointed about those 2 things. Everything else is ok so far.

What had happened was—-

So I would have given them a full “excellent” rating but the night of stay (of course this had to happen the one night I chose to spend a little more and stay here), apparently the water pipes had burst and they had several plumbing companies try to fix it. Because of this, their restaurant closed early so I wasn’t able to try their food or coffee in the morning. Also, the tv cut out an hour into my stay and didn’t come back on until I was alseep and it woke me up. Finally, tried to take a shower in the morning pero the water was cold as my ex’s heart, Asides from these, the establishment is amazing. Kinda wish they would’ve comped my coffee at the place across the street but whatever.
