The hotel was never advertised to be under construction, the lobby, restaurant, bar, pool and gym were all closed off. The noise of a jack hammer going on all morning and afternoon was enough to have you running out of the hotel, which helped because it helped motivate you to go outside and enjoy San Diego.
Now with all the amenities closed off to you, why weren't the rates discounted or vouchers given for nearby restaurant or bar...If you are charging the regular rate then all amenities should be available OR at the very least let the guest know in case I choose to stay elsewhere...Don't surprise me with it as I check-in.
