Staff is horrible whole area is ghetto, no security outside of the building. They make you pay $75 incidental and tell you you’re only getting back $35 due to parking fee which is mandatory and doesn’t say it on their page when you first look at the room online.

Hotel was great! However DO NOT recommend using HOTELS.COM Anytime while exploring different types of hotels through the website and selecting a different hotel the website will continuously bring you back to the current date rather than the selected date you are staying at the hotel. Because of this I had caused my reservation to be at a current date rather than the future date that I wanted. I recommend using a different platform other than hotels.com or direct through the hotel.

My husband and I stayed at Crockett Hotel for three days at the end of May 2025 and we picked the perfect place. Both the Alamo and the River Walk were within walking distance. Unfortunately, the Alamo was under construction and we were warned that there may be noise, but we were already awake by the time the workers started so it didn't bother us - it was just a bit of an eyesore. Our room was clean and had enough pillows, which is almost always an issue for us. We had a great view of the Alamo (had it not been under construction) from our window and the tavern and café were super-convenient for getting food before or after a busy day. As much as we loved our room, I think the highlight of our stay was the guy at the front desk. He remembered my name throughout our entire stay and was so patient when I had some serious confusion with the valet parking and the parking lot. Before booking I knew there was valet parking, but when I arrived and saw there was street parking available I thought we would avoid the valet parking expense and just street park. Apparently, you can get towed by street parking. After a third explanation, I finally understood the parking situation. I appreciate his patience and kindness. I feel terrible that I didn't get his name, but he has been there for like 30-years so if you stay here you will meet him. If we ever return to San Antonio we will stay here again. Hopefully, front desk guy will be happily retired--he deserves it.

Hotel itself was ok. Their valet that they make you do was not convenient. I waited 15 min at 5am to get my car. Turned out the employee was hanging out in an office. Don’t offer 24 hour valet if you’re not going to be available when a car is called through the text they provide you.

It was great, overall. I was disappointed in the pool being closed. We were told we could go to the Menger pool, but who wants to walk across a busy street in a bathing suit and come back, dripping wet? The price for parking (per night - valet) was ridiculous @ $48.71, plus a tip for each day (rip-off!) The hotel and rooms were great and comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was great. Perfect location. Can't wait for the Alamo construction to be completed so we can bring our granddaughters (hopefully end of this year). We will probably stay at the Crockett again. It was a great 32nd wedding anniversary getaway for my husband & me.

Moved romes at first had no idea the inside rooms had a veiw of the inside of the building beds were a little too firm other than that it was fine till when we were leaving there was a giant water bug in the lobby but still overall happy with the stay

The pictures online were beautiful, but this place did not live up to it. The fire detector fell out of my ceiling their "fix" was to duct tape it up and they left the mess of wires and such on the floor when they were done. There was a smell of mold or something the entire time. Lots of homelss in the area.
