We came to the desert for a little sunshine and some war weather. The Hotel was quiet and very nice but a little dated, but that was ok. The bar/lounge was nice with live entertainment. The only issue I have is that we were charged $25 a night for parking that was not mentioned at check in and appeared on our receipt at check out.

Avoid this place

When they say pictures don’t do justice, this was the perfect example! The website has the best pictures of the rooms and it is why I booked this place. As soon as my partner walked in the room we both noticed the old smell and how everything in the room was out dated. The pillows and sheets looked like they had better years and by looking at the pictures decor on the hallways everything in that room definitely matched to the point. I booked the room for three nights and we were in the room no more than 15 minutes before I booked elsewhere. This reservation was not cheap and that’s how bad the room was that I opted to lose what I had already paid. About $1400.00 I was to embarrassed to complain to the person at the front desk. With that said I will not book at this place and will definitely spread the word to avoid booking here. This review is in all honesty and not a spiteful review.

Way over priced but convenient for Coachella

Very nice place with a beautiful pool. Was disappointed that they started offering rides to the shuttle for the festival but didn’t tell anyone. The driver rolled right past me and watched me walk to the shuttle stop in the heat with 2 bags. Then he did it again on the way back. Ordered room service and it was cold. Nice place but not worth the ridiculous overcharge for the festival. Parking fee was good though.

Get what you pay for

This place is fine I guess, it’s fine for the price. I wanted to get a workout in, the treadmill I used worked for what I needed. But if you want to do anything with weights good luck…. The machine was relic from the 80s probably with missing pieces. And the dumbbells didn’t have matching pairs. As far as sleep goes it could have been better. There was a light outside my room that shines upward to illuminate the building… however the room only has these old wooden style shutters to block the light…. It doesn’t block the light effectively at all.

Great until check out

Everything was fine except at the end. When I was signing for the room when we checked in, we saw an up charge. They explained it away saying that its just a hold that will fall off once you check out. We checked out and waited but still had an extra $50 fee that we couldn't understand. Called the hotel and they said “we charge for parking”. No where does it say that we would be charged for parking. Just sneaky and unprofessional after such a great stay.

Love this place

Got this place because our plans changed at the last minute and BOY! did we luck out! This place is great! Love the history and tributes to Lucille Ball and Dezi Arnez all over the place. The staff is friendly, the grounds are lovely, the pool area is super cool, the lounge is great with live performances. Love our quick layover here and will definitely be back for a longer stay!

Desert Stay

My stay was quiet and enjoyable. The housekeeping staff was excellent. The bed seemed to be a little lumpy but O.K. I didn't get around to asking the front staff why one of the hand towels had a green spot on it on the first day. The replacements did not. Other members of my party had the same experience with the towels. It must be some kind of counting mark or something? Other than that, it felt like a secure place to spend a restful night. No frills, but clean and peaceful.
