Good location for Indian Wells Tennis but property needs some updating. The air-conditioning in our room clicked on and off and sounded like a freight train. The blinds were broken and didn’t completely close allowing a lot of light into the room. The refrigerator didn’t keep things that cold. In the hallways, there were trays and glasses and silverware that hadn’t been picked up for a while. But check-in staff was very friendly and efficient. Got our room quickly, pool area looked very nice even though we didn’t use it. Certainly sufficient for our one night stay but not a good value for the money.

This property has a very nice pool, rooms are large, but the property overall is showing its age. In addition, the amenities book in our room said "deluxe continental breakfast buffet, complimentary for hotel guests." Instead, the only complimentary breakfast item was a coffee station.

Pros: Good location to the BNP tournament, anrea restaurants and hotel food quite good. Staff very nice and accommodating. VERY comfortable bed! Cons: THE AC UNIT IS WAYYYY TOO LOUD! We had a terrible time sleeping. Wish i had brought ear plugs! This is a dated hotel that really could use a facelift. Especially carpet in room. Also, TV needs instruction. Had terrible time maneuvering remote and finding channels.

The front desk staff very courteous and friendly. I was told I was given an upgrade yet the room was not much of an upgrade. The light bulbs by the bed were burnt out, there were minimal supplies in the bathroom. One tiny soap and nothing else. There was no coffee but empty bags of coffee. The room really appeared as not being serviced. So far from an upgrade. When I went to the lobby and tried to get a cup of the complementary coffee I had to chase a waitress and ask for one cup of coffee. She said the complimentary coffee was only till 9 am which I was not informed and it was just 9:30 am when I went down for my coffee. I was not happy.

The beds were awful, like blow up beds on a frame. The bathroom was so patched together, poorly I might add, there was an active leak from the room above us and the toilet was hard pressed to flush. While maintenance was very attentive the room should have been marked out of order.

I have stayed at this resort many times and prefer it due to the location to the tennis gardens. However, I am noticing that some of the rooms are not as nice and in need of upgrading. This year I stayed in room #244, shutters are in need of repair, could use some updating. Later, I stayed with a friend in #247 and again, the shutters are in need of repair. This had some upgrade with crown molding. The toilet did not flush well, had to hold the handle down for a complete flush. Was not impressed with the bathroom toiletries. Worn out tissue in a small basket to hold a small soap and lotion. Get rid of that! Shampoo and conditioner all in one dispenser. I expect this in a motel but not a nice hotel such as Indian Wells. Security locks on your side doors from the parking area does not work. I'm sure they did at one point. This is a safety issue ands should be addressed immediately! All side doors should be locked and a guest key card to allow access. Again, another thing that needs to be fixed. Also, on your website is says you have Tennis Courts. The courts are cracked and in horrible condition. Do not advertise the courts or allow guest to play on them if they are not in playable condition. That is an accident just waiting to happen. Other than that your staff is great, professional and polite.

The pool was fine although the water was cloudy and had a fair amount of debris. The room was clean when we got there. It was nothing special. Only 3 towels and slivers of packaged bar soap, no lotion. When I requested housekeeping they did not clean the mirror, gave us back the dirty glass I had left out for them to replace. They took the rubber no slip bath mat and it took a few days to get them to replace it. I had to go out and ask for coffee cups (paper) because they had not been replaced. We went to dinner there one evening and there was only 1 staff person to run the bar, deliver room service and take care of the dining room. We asked for a late check out, noon, but the keys quit working by 1130. The air conditioner was noisy. We would not stay there again.

This property is under new ownership and they are not upholding basic standards of safety for guests. The outer entrance doors were without locks for my entire stay meaning anyone from outside could access the building and many times throughout my stay, the outer doors were propped open, allowing the hallways to heat up and again…no security/safety standards. In addition, my room had signs of water damage and a musty/mold smell for my entire stay, the air unit could not keep up with the heat of the hallway because doors were left open, towels were unavailable for room and pool at various times, breakfast is no longer included as it was in years past, etc. I will never stay at this hotel again!

This was our 3rd or 4th year staying here for the tennis tournament. This year however was pretty different. In the past inwould give it a 5/5, easy. This year, they changed a few things. For one, there is no breakfast included anymore. They also now charge $25 per night. They also didnt have live music at all during the 4 nights we were there. Little things, but they add up. We love this property, location, views, etc. But these little changes were a bummer.
