The Rio is a hidden gem if you ask me, I’m not sure why it’s not popular! Yes it’s a bit dated, but the rooms are so awesome, the pool is so nice, plenty of seating and shade, the staff are so kind. The rooms are huge, we got a standard double queen and it felt like an apartment it was so big. The bathrooms are dated, and the decor is okay, but my kids loved every moment. The room had a fridge which was a nice surprise, there’s a separate vanity area which was so so nice. Overall I can’t wait to stay here again! I absolutely loved it. I do wish more people knew how awesome it was, the shops were dead, and the area where there used to be live bands and shows and the floor bar is all dead, such a shame. This casino has so much potential I wish there were more people playing there! I do think if it wasn’t so dim-lit and they had stuff going on down there it would draw a crowd again. The only point of contention I have is there were no breakfast places IN the casino, I wish there was at least a small restaurant that offered breakfast. We ended up at dennys across the way, which was fine :) but over all 10/10 highly recommended!
