Made reservation months ago. Got to hotel, and they had our room reservation with a king size bed; we needed to sleep 5. I specifically reserved a room with 2 queen beds, and we bring an air mattress for the 5th person. They said they’d see if anyone had checked out they weren’t aware of (at 10pm). They found a room with 2 queen beds on second floor. No elevator.
Long story short: we found a live bug (garden beetle) on the one bed upon arrival. We found a mobile house phone on the nightstand upon arrival as well (not the room phone). The air conditioner worked, loudly dripped water, soaking the carpet all around it, and keeping light sleepers awake. We ended up using the ice bucket to catch the water, and dumping it halfway through the night to find it completely full again in the morning. The bathroom door didn’t close completely or lock.
We already knew there weren’t any rooms they could switch us into, so we stuck it out for the 2nd night. We prepaid and didn’t have any way to get money back and go somewhere else.
We found a garden beetle on the other bed the day we departed as well.
Positives: breakfast was decent and hostess was friendly. TV worked. Shower was nice; different settings on shower head. Beds are comfy.
