Great weekend stay.

All the staff were friendly. Carlos who served the breakfast buffet was very accommodating and helpful. The buffet was so good and affordable we ate breakfast every day there.

Ok.. don’t let the reviews and the renovations keep you away. Yes, they are still renovating the property. Their end game is gonna be great. We were able to get an updated room and it was clean and comfy. The pool and hot tub were clean and Chris the bartender in the upstairs lounge was a gem.

Improvements needed for the cost.

For the cost for one night, I could see that the quality of the bathroom and the old mess of the AC was not a match for the price I paid. I would not stay here again. The staff were professional and friendly. My 4:00 am didn’t happened until 4:30, but my phone alarm woke me up at 4 am . I had an early flight out of Santa Fe Airport, so that could be improved. Overall rooms need to be renovated.

All you have to do is ask.

We took this trip to see the Burning of ZOZOBRA. It was a good experience. The sevice was very friendly and clean. The gotel did not a medicinal clean smell which was a plus. The beds were comfortable enough, the pillows a little flat. They only have refrigerators in their suites which was a first for me but available upon request. We did not know this until we checked out. They have a nice lounge area Lady Duff's where you can get appetizers and drinks in the evening and breakfast in the morning until 11 am. Service was also very kind and friendly. Overall we would stay again.

Poor experience

It was clean. The rooms were unnecessarily big and poorly lit. The air conditioner did not work well and was very loud when it did. Price per night was much higher than I would pay for a similar motel quality room.

New management nightmare

When new management takes over a crumbling hotel, it would be better for everyone if they shut down a few days. We appreciated the person at tge frobt desk who let us move out of the bad-smelling room we were given, but conditions in the next room were just as bad. The door jamb was nailed with finishing nails and fell off. The window locks were missing. Electric outlets did not work and were usually cracked. Tiles were loose. The hot tub was filthy. The room was infested with small ants. We had to get a room elsewhere at great expense.

Now charge amenities fee of 25$ a day. I was told parking was free. The only amenities was pool. No food available on premises. Front desk very nice and helpful. Do not like new name. Takes away its historical value. Would never stay here again.

We prefer more lighting in the rooms as the room was not well lit, the room was dark. Next year you should try having a shuttle to the Santa Fe Indian Market and we did enjoy the vendors on Friday that was neat.

The hotel is no longer the lodge at Santa Fe but the gloretta. Google kept sending us to the gorietta . and we wasted over a driving around until we called the lodge at Santa Fe and they informed us that the lodge at Santa has is the gloretta. Our tube had holes patched with duct tape and toilet seat with chips in it. A wooden towel rack that sat over the toilet and when you pulled a towel off the rack, the towel next to it fell into the toilet, a room cooler that made so much noise that it kept us awake at night and the hotel tried to charge us an amenity fee when we did not use any amenities. We complained tidy and they took off that fee. This was the worst hotel experience I have had in my 74 years. I I would not recommend it to anyone. Horrible place!

MISINFORMATION!!!

No notice that hotel changed name plus it was under CONSTRUCTION! No wet paint SIGNS. I got dark gray paint on my hand from handrail! Furthermore Valerie at desk said they would refund $75 ‘resort’ fee because resturant and bar was closed, but still waiting for promised refund.

Under construction and sub par for the price.

We stayed 8/5-8/7 and felt that while the location of the hotel was beautiful and ideal with its proximity to all Santa Fe has to offer, our experience was mediocre given the price of the hotel. Having paid what I did for a suite with a balcony I had much higher expectations. We were hoping for a somewhat above average accommodations given that part of the reason for our stay was to relax in our room and at the hotel in general. To start with- I would have appreciated a heads up that the hotel would be torn apart for a complete remodel. When we pulled up there was not even a sign up, as they were replacing it, the dining was closed, there was furniture all over the parking lot, and even in the rooms things were not fully put together. The first room we were assigned had empty walls, as the decorations had already been removed for the remodel. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work, nor did all the lights. The bathroom door did not shut properly. Additionally the bricks on the patio were lose and a huge trip hazard. We ended up having to switch rooms because when we returned after dinner the air conditioning was not working properly. The staff that helped us was very apologetic and helpful, but offered no compensation for having to pack up and move our things. However, we were given a room with less issues, but still not what I would have expected for the price. The new room had working lights, doors, and air conditioning and was still decorated.
