Nice hotel. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Reasonable rates. The problem I had was with the bed. For me it was way too soft and caused back pain and restless sleep. I should have asked if they had a firmer mattress or any remedy. My fault for not asking. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Portland.

While we were impressed with the cleanliness of the room (and the hotel in general), I feel I have to chime in on the parking fee. As has been noted in other reviews, there is a $10 per night parking fee that is not mentioned until check-in. We were a bit taken aback because we didn't get charged when we stayed here about a year ago. There is no garage or attendant either - it's simply a fee to put your car in the lot. While I understand that upkeep of a hotel is expensive, it seems like this could have been rolled into the room rate or - at the very least - mentioned as an add-on at time of booking not at the time of checking-in (when you are past the point of cancellation). For us, it was only two nights, but I can only imagine what it must feel like to be charged nightly for a week. I wish I could say it didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth, but it kinda did. We may stay here again because the rooms really are quite clean and comfortable, but I will be comparing prices assuming that the room costs an extra $10 a night. (As for it being a way to only charge those who take advantage of that particular amenity, I assume the cost of the free breakfast is rolled into the room rate. We only partook in that amenity once, but I wouldn't expect a discount for not eating at the buffet both days. That logic goes both ways.)

We have stayed at La Quinta's for years and have never stayed in one that was in serious need of a face lift. They also do not provide housekeeping until you checkout. We were.supposed to stay 3 nights and left after one. On a positive note, the hotel staff was very nice Last LaQuinta for me.

Great hotel. Conveniently located. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Did not love having to pay for parking. Seemed a little ridiculous given it’s just the hotel above ground parking lot.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of our room and bathroom. The entire facility was spotless. The furnishings were modern and up to date. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the breakfast in a lovely dining room. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very clean and comfortable! The room is a tiny bit on the small side, but well furnished with comfortable beds. Glad to have a fridge in the room. I would happily come back and stay again!

Room was fine. Nothing special. No toiletries provided. Toilet ran all night, but was too tired to call downstairs. In the morning, they actually charged for parking. Was not informed of this. Neighborhood was industrial. Train passing by during the night was LOUD.
